My first auger so I don’t have much to compare it too, but it works great in my opinion. Is very easy to cut a hold in a foot of ice. Very happy with it!

I am very impressed with this ice auger. The first weekend after it arrived I had it out on the ice and drilled about 5 holes with it. It dug right through without a hitch, and I was impressed with how little effort it took. 2 of the other guys who were with me actually stopped using their own augers and started borrowing mine, and this became the group favorite. All together it drilled more than a dozen holes through foot and a half ice without any issues.My one complaint is that the item was damaged on arrival. It was a return, which I knew, but the damage was pretty substantial. The auger had a very noticeable bend to it on the shaft, so it drills at an angle. It's a minor complaint, though, because it still drills straight down without any issues, it just makes a hole that is a bit bigger around than normal. I was actually MORE impressed with this due to the damage, since it worked so well despite the obvious problem.Overall I highly recommend this product, new or used.

I've taken this out on a few ice fishing trips. I tend to drill MANY holes when fishing. I change spots often on sunny days. This has remained sharp, is VERY easy to use, and is nice that it collapses to half it's size so that it fits in my sled. Highly recommended for the price. Who needs a power auger anyway! Get some exercise people. :)

Have used a few times and cuts through ice like butter up to 12” thick.

Took this Mora 7in on ice this weekend to see how it performs and here it is:Pros - sharp blades, adjustable handle, no slip grip.Cons - handle is not sturdy, performs poorly on thick ice.I am a medium built guy and should not be able to do any damage to this auger under normal circumstances, however about mid way through my day (a dozen or so holes drilled in a little over a foot of ice) I discovered a noticeable bent around the top hight-adjustment hole. Drilling thick ice was not a breeze either. After going 6-8 in deep the ice chips did not extract well so I ended up lifting auger with some chips 2 - 3 times during the process.If you plan to use this auger on a thick ice be ready for some exersise.Its a firm 3 stars with me, cant give it any higher score.

I used this as an auger attachment for a Clam platform in conjunction with a Milwaukee drill. The auger is self works well in either the forward or reverse directions. I would have given it five stars, except for the fact it does not work for re-drilling ice holes. It binds and locks up the drill.
