Usually with Hampers you get the same old fayre and for that reason I hardly ever purchase them but the reviews here made me decide to throw caution to the wind. Everything comes nicely packaged. The care taken extends to the pretty printed picture on the inside of the box and a pamphlet inside which is a nice addition which tells me they thought about presentation. The scones are wonderful. As they are Welsh scones, they are slightly more dense and have a more doughy consistency than English ones which I found very pleasant! I really like the way the conserve and clotted cream are packaged - in individual containers and the proportions were perfect. The overiding quality was the freshness of all the products, you could taste it! Having the cheese with fruit loaf was a new experience as one does not usually associate eating fruit loaf with cheese (if you are not Welsh) but it really goes! The loaf was not overly dense - and in fact I would consider it as a light fruit loaf - and there is enough of it to be able to enjoy it again another day! The tea was lovely - earthy and tasty. I really thought it was brilliant that they supplied only a few tea bags instead of the usual large box of tea found in other hampers because if you don't like the tea then it is a waste as you are likely to give it away to someone else or throw it out. Still to have the Welsh Cakes yet but I am certain they will be top quality too! It really is nice that one can enjoy this wonderful product over a number of days which makes great value for money! It really is superb!

Delighted with this item. Everything was well presented, well packed and the instructions were very clear about refrigeration etc. We haven't tried all the items yet, but what we have so far, are delicious. This was our treat to ourselves, but it would make a lovely gift.

Not v.long use by dates but nice gift.

This is simply the best value cream -cum-afternoon tea I've ever bought. And I've bought it several times now for my mum and others. It wants for nothing, scones, compote, a whole pack of butter, clotted cream ... there's even a great chunk of Welsh cheddar cheese and bars brith (which I don't remember tasting this good before). Also small Welsh cakes, like mini Eccles cakes to those of us who live in Lancashire. In all, it's beautifully presented, contents carefully wrapped. Doesn't need gift wrapping but do tick the gift option for a pretty daffodil card in which to display your message. On Mothers Day - although sadly I ordered too early to benefit - they even threw daffodils. All In all, a really lovely treat for yourself or gift for another. Real morale booster in this day and age.

Bought as a birthday present. Nicely presented and better value for money than the various Cornish cream teas available. Would be nice to have a coffee option too.
