My neck is fused c3-c7 anterior and c3-t1 posterior i have bought so many pillows and still trying to find one where i can sleep? & you can’t return

I have chronic neck pain issues and some cervical memory foam pillows I have actually had to return since they are too hard. Is this pillow too hard?

Well actually I find it too soft! so maybe it would work for you. I believe they make a less firm one, this one is the "extra firm". These used to be made more firm and they would soften up over time. This one starts softer and it also does get softer as you use it. Hope this helps!

What is the foam density?

Thank you for your question. The density of the Tri-Core Ultimate Pillow is 3.62 lb./ft.³ and the ILD = 30 lb. We are often asked to field questions pertaining to the foams that we use in our products, so we felt that a foam primer might be beneficial. All of the foam we use can also be classified by two measurements: density & indent load deflection. It is often thought that density is a measure of firmness or softness. Actually, density is merely the weight (in pounds) of a cubic foot of foam. While density does not specifically indicate resiliency, there is often a relationship between density and firmness, and density is an important value in classifying foam products, as it is a very good indicator of the product's durability. Indent load deflection (ILD) is actually the measurement used to rate the firmness of foam products. ILD is calculated by compressing a sample to a percentage of its original thickness. When a foam is compressed to 75% of its original thickness, the standard ILD is recorded. If other information is needed, the sample is then compressed to 35% of its original thickness. By dividing the original ILD into the second ILD, the resiliency, or support factor is determined. This number is a direct indication of the foam's ability to support weight. Although higher density foams are often referred to as firmer, firmness is actually independent of density. It is possible to manufacture a high density foam that is soft (often referred to as HR, or high resiliency foam), or a low density foam that is quite firm (consider common Styrofoam material). Further, ILD is a good measure of comfort in a specific application, but does not specifically relate to any level of quality.
