On the whole, I like this ramp enough to give it 5 Stars. It's not PERFECT, of course. I'll not be setting up a shrine to it or anything. We got the ramp for my father in-law, who gets around with the aid of a walker. It serves its purpose much better than the crude wooden affair a contractor set up for us. If I could, I would prefer a slightly longer and wider ramp, so that the grade wouldn't be as steep for him, and so that the ramp would be as wide or (ideally) slightly wider than the doorway. As it is, I will probably order a second ramp to address the latter issue. That said, I am very pleased: The ramp is very solid! I have no fear of it failing, and it is the perfect height to match the step from the doorway to the front porch, where it has been placed. It is heavy enough (and "rubbery" enough!) to stay where it is put, without being difficult to move when movement is needed. My advice to the potential buyer is simply to check the measurements in the item description against your needs--i.e., make sure that a ramp with these measurements will suit your purpose. If the numbers work for you, then I would recommend this ramp without hesitation!

Very sturdy but fairly heavy, note the weight of the item and the ability to lift it. I used a 2-wheel dolly to transport from storage to usage area.

This thing is really heavy. I should have paid a little more attention to the sizing because it's quite steep. I have a bad knee and I make sure to hold on to the door frame when I am on the ramp. It's not quite as textured as I would have liked for gripping, so it's a tiny bit slippery. Maybe that will improve with time. I'm using it on the step up between the garage and the laundry room. I needed to have a sturdy ramp I could use my hand truck on to get heavy things from the garage to the house and vice versa. It does really stink out of the box, but the smell seems to be dissipating since I stuck it in the garage. Overall, I think it's a good purchase. Hope it lasts a long time.

Bought two of these for my garage to move large snow blowers up onto an elevated pad. Work great, very sturdy, very visible. Solid product.
