The wife uses this for our vegetable and herb garden, which is about 400 square feet. She loves it. I broke our last small trowel; the weld snapped between the handle and the blade. This one will have no such problem. It is simple, with one piece of stainless steel. So far, no rust and no bending, despite the hard clay.I will say that good gloves are a good idea with this. Because it is a single piece of stainless steel, it can be a little slick, especially with muddy or sweaty hands. I wouldn't mind some texture on the handle to aid in grip, but I used it to help put in some landscaping timbers, and with leather gloves I had no problems.

I liked that it was all metal so it can be cleaned and the sharp spade made it very useful. But it bent after 2 uses and now I have to be very careful when digging trenches.

This thing is awesome. Has measurements to pinpoint how deep you dig, very sturdy handle. You can tell this will last for quite a while. And for such a great price, very happy.

You see "stainless" and you think it will be decent quality but then it shows up and it's the thinnest and cheapest stamped metal you could imagine. Not worth returning and barely worth keeping.

This product looks solid but did not perform when used in soil with clay in it. It bent instantly and is unusable now.Perhaps this product is good for using with potting soil, but then again potting soil is easy enough to work with bare hands.Make this tool tougher!

I like that it's all one piece, so it can be cleaned fairly easily. it's a good size for planting smaller flowers and herbs. The stainless steel makes it look sleek and modern. Great product, especially for the price.

Not for rugged usage -- had to reinforce handle area to prevent bending.
