If only EVERYTHING you bought was worth it weight in gold!!
First let me state that I did NOT receive this at a discount for my review, I paid full price for it and I can honestly say I would do it again, in fact I just did!! Now, I love animals, and I really try to find ways to either live with them, or solve the problem in a humane manner. But everything I tried (that was affordable) failed, and I was at my wits end, so this seemed to be the best route for us. Not to get into a long drawn out boring story, but you have to know the details to know just how THRILLED I am with this purchase!! Well, here goes.My hubby and I have spent a LOT of money, blood, sweat and tears on our flower beds, veggie gardens and "bird world", (not to mention items for our camper) only to be overrun by chipmunks and squirrels! The little rodents chewed holes in a new awning rug, destroyed 4 bird feeders, ate my strawberry bushes and tulip bulbs along with many other plants. So after doing some extended research, I hopped on Amazon and ordered my 1st PestZilla on July 1st 2016, it was delivered on the 6th, but I was away and didn't get home to put it into action until Friday the 8th. Soooo... here we are a total of 4 days later, 4 chipmunks down and out of my gardens so far, and I just came back to order another one!! Actually, this one is for my parents who want to borrow mine. Now, I love my parents as much as anyone, and would do anything for them, so that is why I am not letting them borrow my trap, I am buying them their own (Lol)! Honestly, they need their own, and I just can't part with PestZilla, even for a day!!! I can't begin to tell you how ecstatic I am that we have finally found a way to get rid of these pests!!The way it works: The trap comes in 2 sections, the top and bottom, and with the power plug and the alert cord. To use the trap, if you will be using batteries, install them in the bottom of the top compartment. I don't know any more about that because I use the plug. Then, you simply align the tabs on the top of the unit with the slots on the bottom section and push until you hear a click. This adjoins the halves together. You can also reverse this step pushing in the opposite direction, to take it apart easily. Place your bait (I used peanuts in the shell) in the small bait hole in the back of unit. This can be done before you put it together, or after, it's up to you. If you are using the adapter, simply plug both lines into the back of the unit, you cannot get them confused, they each only plug into 1 hole. Then plug the power cord into to outlet, and place the alert cord where you will be able to view it without disturbing the unit. set the trap in your desired location and turn the switch on the back to the on position. It will flash red when it is working. This is NOT intended for outdoor use. (I have a screened in patio off the back of my garage, and protected from the weather, this is where I placed my trap. I knew they traveled through there because they chewed through the screen and the lattice) From what I can tell, death happen quickly because the bait is still there. When you have trapped a rodent, the unit will beep and the alert light (on the cord) will flash repeatedly. Press the power switch on the back to off, unplug the unit from the back, and discard the contents. No touching required! Then I slide the unit apart and use a Clorox or wet wipe to wipe any residue out, to make sure it won't alert any other would be prey. Re-bait and reset your trap, that's all there is to it!! It's so simple, clean and efficient, and to me... 4 days use, 4 rodents down... worth it's weight in gold!!If you have an issue with rodents, don't hesitate!! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT and hope you have as much luck as I have had!! Best wishes, and thanks for reading my review

First 2 nights it was in place we caught 2 rodents that were eating our flowers and digging up the lawn. Easy setup. The green LED was attached to a cord (maybe 18 inches) so we placed the trap under the porch and ran the cable to the top so we could tell if we had caught something without going out and looking under. Absolutely works as advertised. We used it plugged in, but apparently can run on D cell batteries. I will be trying it on battery power when I put it out in my shed where field mice have built a home using my deck chair cushions and umbrella!

It does the work, quickly and humanely
I couldn't actually bring myself to say "I love it," which is what 5 stars is supposed to signify, because it is, after all, designed to quickly dispatch another life form. But having mice in the house, especially ones that are adept at getting into pantry drawers, just doesn't work for me. I do believe this electronic device is much more humane than poison, snap traps or, worse, sticky traps. Yes, one could use trap to take them alive, but I would have no way to transport them to another faraway location unless I called Uber to give them a lift, or adopted them, neither of which is an option. So I chose the PestZilla, hoping it would work... and it DID.Simply placing a cracker with peanut butter and/or a few raisins at the far inner end, and placing the trap along the toekick of the kitchen cabinets, or wherever the mice seem to be loitering, does the job. We have disposed of four such "visitors" in the last 10 days or so. It's extremely easy to empty the trap, especially for the squeamish (pointing at myself) who do not want to encounter anything unpleasant (such as snap trap victims).I'm going to continue to deploy the PestZilla for a couple of weeks, to see if other mice show up. After that, I'll keep it handy in case I see any evidence of invasion.

Awesome Product!
This product has been wonderful. So far we have caught 6 rats. Glue traps are so cruel. I cringe every time my husband buys them. We've lost traps because the rat runs off with them or twist out of the trap. The worst is when a trap killed a poor bird. This is so asy to use. Place dog kibble into inside try and leave unplugged until the bait is been eaten. Plug in and bingo you got your first rat or mouse. Turn off during day time so you don't kill a squirrel. I love that it beeps when is got a rat. It has only miss read once. Not sure why but the next night it was DEAD on! I'm getting my mom one for Mother's Day so she'll stop using poison. My husband has been so impressed with this product.

Hands down one of the best of rat zappers
Hands down one of the best of rat zappers. It comes with the unit separated into two parts, the top bottom, ac power cord and the led lights for battery I believe. Very light weight and easy to assemble but not light enough to be blown by the wind. Has a very solid build to it and sleek design yet simplistic. Has a bait section and within the first two nights and I got one of those suckers. Has clear instructions in English and is straightforward and a smaller less detailed warning just incase you don't want to read the whole thing. When this unit has caught something it will beep and change to a solid light notifying you which comes in handy especially when you can hear it too. I like how it can be operated on batteries and with a cord as well as the design. The only thing that was a problem for me was that it was a pretty big unit its about a foot or a little over and can be hard to hide if that's you're intention and may also be a problem if you are trying to hide it from your kids.
