GIBSONPerformance Exhaust Gibson 618802 Stainless Steel Single Exhaust System

Got the Gibson exhaust for my 2012 Toyota Tacoma double cab short bed. I was looking for an exhaust that had a nice deep tone, but not overly loud. I also wanted an exhaust that provided little to no drone inside the cab. The Gibson provided these two features and I'm happy to say this is the perfect exhaust.The sound is only really present accelerating from a stop, when pushing the throttle, and under heavy load (such as a steep hill). Other than that it honestly goes unnoticed in the cab. At cruising speeds I don't even notice it at all. With the radio on at a reasonable level I can hardly tell it's there. At highway speeds (80 mph at just under 2000 RPMs) I also don't notice it. A very great feature when driving long distances.Now on to the performance aspect. I immediately felt a change in my throttle response! It feels like my truck has come alive. The delay in throttle response for my truck always bothered me, but now this issue is gone. I can now rely on my truck to produce the power that I need when I need it. I haven't had the exhaust on long enough to see any significant changes in MPG, but I'll update when I do.Overall, I'm loving this exhaust. The build quality is awesome and it fits perfectly without the need to cut. You can install this exhaust right on your driveway if you have the tools. Oh and before I forget, the packaging was really good. It came double boxed. The outside box provided by Amazon and the second box from the Gibson. The Gibson box had a factory seal to identify that the product has not been tampered with in anyway.Get this exhaust if:- you want to save money- you want a deep tone that's not overly loud- you want little to no drone in the cab- you want that increase in throttle response- you want an well crafted product that (from how it looks and feels) will last the lift of your truck

The quality is excellent, it came with u bolts that are too small and I had to use extensive force and bend them to install them since they were so small that they were opened up to fit around the pipe. The size u bolts I received and was listed in description was different. Quality of exhaust is very nice and I liked the fact that the tip was bolt on and not welded since I modified the tail section since I have a high clearance bumper and cut it to exit strait down after axle. I was able to slip the tip on and just bolt it on

First I like the product, my only complaint is the flange mount to the cat. The flange bevel was very shallow. I had purchased a new gasket but it would not work with this setup. I ended up using the old gasket and cutting it down so that there was at least something in the gap between the metal. As with all exhaust items the bolts snapped removing and I pounded out the stubs, so I had to find bits to fit the bolts. I bought a spring kit as the bolts provided didn’t have springs and where too short after I removed the stock retaining nuts. Over all it went together fairly quick, installed in order from the pipe, then muffler and tail pipe. The hangers are on the pipes not the muffler so go in order to make it easier...muffler is half the diameter of the stock one. It had a slight throaty sound when driving in town but on the highway there isn’t much cabin noise which was what I wanted. If you are looking for a close to stock sound at an affordable price, this is it. Impressively built except for the flange.

Installed OK in 2013 Tacoma. Had to rotate a hanger 90 degrees and paid a muffler shop $50 to extend it to fit my double cab long bed. Still several hundred dollars cheaper than competitors. I replaced the stock muffler because it had already started rusting (HI salt air). No noticeable improvements to MPG or power. Sound is a little throatier but not obnoxious.

Great exhaust system! Packaging was excellent, no damage. Quality is very good. Easy to install and sounds great, with no cabin drone. Not loud but you can tell it's there when you put your foot down. Bonus- it's made in the USA.

All I can say is not bad! Gibson did an excellent job with this exhaust. Its has just the right amount of rumble to it with no cabin drone. I absolutely love this exhaust. I was looking for an exhaust that wasn't overly loud that gave a nice low deep rumble and this exhaust did just that!Everything came that was needed to install this exhaust and all the hangers were in the correct position for an easy install. Install took about 1 hour after I was able to get the old one off. The only thing that was an issue was the flange bolts that came with the exhaust are to long. But a quick trip to Lowes fixed that. Overall very satisfied, highly recommend!

Installed this on my 2005 Tacoma this weekend. Took just over an hour. Probably could have done quicker but didn’t want to cut up the old exhaust so it took longer taking it out in one piece. The sound is fine not much drone at all.

I was looking for an exhaust that wasn't too loud but still could have some sound when I got on it and this delivered it perfectly. Very happy with it and very easy to install
