Excellent Blocks. They are manufactured well, smooth with nicely routed edges. They are large and our two year old has a great time handling them. There's only one issue, sort of, there's a negative trade off for the smooth, varnished finish - they are so smooth that these blocks are almost slippery when trying to stack them. They glide and slide on each other which frustrated our 2 year old. He's had fits over the blocks not staying where he places them when stacking. This went on for the first few trys. However, once he got the hang of them, interestingly enough, they've seemed to have helped with his gross motor skill development. Now he's much more subtle and nuanced when handling them. Overall, we are really pleased with these blocks.

These are NOT small blocks, like some reviewers said. The pieces are 3-4", a nice, hefty, fit perfect for a child's hand. The smooth natural & painted blocks are a good mix. They remind me of the blocks my carpenter grandfather made when I was small (a very long time ago). The enclosed bag has a beaded end drawstring with handles on the sides. Right now the fabric is stiff; will probably soften with use. Am VERY pleased to have found these blocks!

Fun set for 18 month old toddler to play with. Comes with a nice bag to keep organized! Bright colors and good quality. Not heavy but solid enough to build and play with.

Our 12 month old received these for his birthday. These are great to get kiddos working on their fine motor skills. They're also an excellent gift to keep adding to! They're reasonably priced, don't require batteries, are too big to fit in mouths (not a choking hazard) and the more the better! A good, not overstimulating gift for any little one! I can recall playing with blocks for several years through my childhood - they should be good entertainment for quite some time!
