Gluten Block, Designed For Easy Digestion of Gluten With Scientifically Proven Tolerase G, 90 Veggie Capsules

I was diagnosed with Celiac Disease about five years ago, and I have two daughters who also have Celiac. Because of issues, I often avoid going out for dinner. Even though there is more awareness and more restaurants that offer a GF menu, I still get nervous and have ended up with cross-contamination issues on multiple occasions. The four to six days of flu-like symptoms after going out to dinner with friends really suck. My youngest also has struggled extensively with living on campus and dining in the college cafeteria. Not good.Out of pure frustration and with much skepticism, I decided to try this. Holy cow! This has been amazing! I simply pop one capsule before eating anything I haven't prepared myself (sometimes two if I'm especially sensitive). I still ask the kitchen at restaurants to make sure my food is GF, but this seems to take care of the cross-contamination issue.But is it really the Gluten Block, or have I just gotten lucky? I wasn't really sure. Then last week, my husband & I were running errands on the weekend & decided to pop into a restaurant for a quick bite to eat. I grabbed my trusty bottle out of my purse only to find it was empty. This is a place that has a separate GF menu, though, so I thought I'd be okay & I'd just refill the bottle when I got home. Our quick lunch out was followed by FOUR DAYS OF PURE HELL! Not fun! This inadvertent experiment served as proof that the Gluten Block has indeed helped.I know I will be more diligent about ensuring my trusty take-along pill bottle is stocked with the Gluten Block. My daughters also each keep a bottle on hand. Taking this doesn't mean you should order the club sandwich, fries & a beer for your meal, but it has helped to prevent illness from cross-contamination. Well worth it!

When it comes to writing product reviews I am always hesitant to give 1-star but I think other people who have gluten sensitivities should know that this product DOES NOT work for everyone. I read a lot of the positive 5-star reviews and was very hopeful that it would help me too. Unfortunately, I tried the product, taking two pills before eating a sandwich, and it did not help in the slightest. The next morning (I had it for dinner) I woke with my normal headache, stomache, bathroom "issues" and nausea. For $35 a bottle, I'm disappointed to have wasted my money. I am not diagnosed as a celiac, but rather have a gluten sensitivity. I can usually do fine with a small amount of flour, say in a sauce or dressing, but avoid bread, pasta, pizza, beer, etc. I will honestly give it one more try to make sure there were no other factors influencing my experience but I'm not hopeful. I will update if it works better the second time!

I tried this product because it was half of the price of what I normally buy. It appeared to have the same ingredient listing, but it didn't work as well. I'm still continuing my search for an equally as effective but yet cheaper alternative. I personally wouldn't recommend this product, but all of our bodies digest things differently, so it could still possibly work for you.

Was not expecting this, I was very hesitant at first to take this because my gluten intolerance is pretty severe but I took a leap of faith because of how miserable it has been lately even with minor exposure. One thing I really liked about the product from the start though is that orut had other digestive enzymes in it to break down fats, sugars, cellulose, etc and when I compared this product to others on Amazon none of them used this high of a dose.I started my trial by talking 2 capsules with a small, weighed portion of food with a relatively known amount of gluten in it. Took the capsules with water then ate the food a couple minutes later as I understand it cuts the portion of the gluten protein that is responsible for the reaction and you need the capsule to dissolve before food gets into intestines. I was literally sweating the entire time knowing that if it didn't work I'd be miserable. Five minutes passed, ten, fifteen, thirty I felt great! I have only tried this one dosage today when I got the package but I'm just so incredibly ecstatic that it worked and I can finally feel more normal again, it's a heavy weight lifted off my shoulders knowing that I no longer have to be anxious every time I eat. I will be updating this review throughout the month. But bottom line is I can't tell you how awesome it was to not worry anymore!UPDATED 3/27:Still going strong! There have been a few instances where I overdid it on the gluten and probably didn't take enough pills but I'm starting to figure out how many pills it takes for a given portion if I'm trying to reward myself otherwise I take 2 capsules with every meal to eliminate the worry.
