Works Well
Sometimes go into semi-remote areas where there might be one gas station and it's operational status is unknown. For a single gallon can, it fits nicely in the back of my 90's Toyota Camry. I know people complain a lot about these safety spouts, but it works perfectly in my 1995 Toyota Camry. Just inset it in the fill neck and apply some pressure to open the valve.

Good with modifications
Personally, I find gas cans today to be difficult to use. I would argue more dangerous. This one is better than others, but they still expect you to press the spout against the filler neck of whatever you're filling in order to open the gas flow. But if you're filling something like a push mower or leaf blower, the machine might move on you causing you to spill gas! To make this easier to use, I took out the spring so now I just open & close the spout manually. I also clipped off the plastic bit on the spout collar which I guess is supposed to prevent a child from removing the spout. I find the red latch that prevents the spout from opening accidentally to be way too difficult to press into the open position. It's a good idea to have it - especially if you've removed the auto-close spring! - because otherwise that spout is very easy to open accidentally. I'm debating if I should attempt to make that latch easier to open. If you disable the safety mechanisms to make this easier and I would argue safer to use, the onus is on you to make sure it's used properly and you don't have an accident. Gasoline is very dangerous.

Good small fuel container.
Nice little gas jug. I am going to use it to put DEF in my new Diesel pick up, I have a big camper with one of the slide outs is over the fuel door and the big DEF jugs are hard to pour, so I will pour the DEF into this small jug to make it much easier to fill the DEF tank. I like the ability to tip it up without any flow until depressing the sppout.

Problems
This looks simple to use but it requires some dexterity and precision for optimum use. If the pouring spout is not perfectly aligned, it will leak. The safety trigger on the pouring spout is very difficult to use without a third hand. I like things to be eco-friendly but this is not it in my opinion.

Waste of money leaks bad.
Gas can leaks more fuel than you can pour at spout to gas can connection. Washer at that connection dosen't seal at the spout. The only way you will find out is to put liquid in it first. Suggest you use water instead of fuel first to test it so you can return it. It's a total rip off buying this gas can.

They work But...
I like these cans. They work great and according to what i've been told meet DOT requirements which is improtant due to traveling with a landscape trailer. Okay now for the but! #1 Do not throw away the caps because rain will collect on them on open trailers and if you forget will go right into your equipment if not emptied. #2 They are a little more argravating to use and I have seen, but not sugggesting, the red sliders removed to make it easier. #3 In hot weather always release the pressure that builds up inside the cans or you will/may have gas spray all over you and or the ground. Even with these minor issues I will continue to use this type because nothing is perfect...
