TAJ Date & Tamarind Chutney | Imli ki Chutney | 320g

I love tamarind and always ask for extra when I get Indian takeout. Now that I've found this one, I always have enough. Very tasty. Kind of a sweet/savory combo flavor. Great on samosa, beef, chicken or add a bit to some rice or biriyani. I'll be buying more.

This is a good product

Very tasty, however a bit spicy for my liking. But good quality.

I tend to love salty foods, but this chutney is CRAZY salty. It's Indian food night in my house once again, and after weeks of first thinking the saltiness was in the samosas, and then, once I realized it was the chutney, just choking it down, I think we're going to try adding some water and cornstarch to reduce the saltiness. Prior to using this product I bought Taj's "gourmet samosa chutney" but last time it was unavailable so I thought this product was just a renamed version of the same! It's not. But I see now that the gourmet samosa chutney is available again so I'll also buy another jar of that.

Too spicy hot

Came in very well packaged box, tasted it on car ride home. Excellent! Can't wait for wife to cook with it! Thank you!

A little too bitter for my taste

This is really yummy, great on samosas, Basmati rice- etc. I'm allergic to the entire onion and garlic family- and sick of things that have no flavor or I can't eat! If you prefer things a bit more liquid than thicker sauce for dipping- just add a bit of water and stir. Will order again... and again.... and probably ---- again!
