The media could not be loaded. If you've seen the Anime/Manga Series 'Hikaru No Go' recently or in the last 20 years and you've been meaning to try and play and learn the game. Yellow Mountain provides a cheaper and compact version of the game that doesn't break your bank. How much you want to learn and play greatly depends on how far you're willing to "go" with the game. It comes with a small booklet to teach you the rules and basics.The design looks beautiful and a very clean presentation. The 'stones' when placed around after a game does give an urge to take photos because it looks like art at times.The magnets for the most time stay on the board quite well even if you do gently shakes.The board actually has letters and numbers on the board that helps you navigate the board if you're following instructions, practicing, learning or wanting to replicate games.However...- The images that I've taken look almost completely different from how it's presented on the Amazon pages. The stones look smaller and the top is flatter.- The board has numbers and letters, this is really helpful. Why this isn't shown in the provided images is quite odd.- Some of the stones have magnets not completely sticking on the board, causing some to slide off.- Playing with the stones are great for children but can be hard for adults trying to pick and place stones.- The containers while nice, easily become loose without much effort. I highly recommend getting elastic bands to keep the containers from opening.But saying this, it's still a brilliant way to get into Go. The low cost of entry, compact, magnetic are what keep this product at 4 stars.You may wish to spend some extra to get the bigger variant. Otherwise, you can definitely have some good times playing this!

A wonderful little magnetic set. This set is very well made for the price. It has a good weight to it and is sturdy. It also comes with a manual on how to play the game, which goes into more detail than simply stating the basic rules. The manual contains tips on how to think about go, as well as simple practice exercises.

Well made product. Compact. Comes with very useful little instruction booklet which is helpful for beginners. Good value.

Good and practical set. Okay, so it’s not the most beautiful set in the world. But it’s perfectly nice, with good counters. It’s a decent size, and the fact that it’s magnetic means the pieces don’t go flying everywhere. It comes with a booklet of very good instructions. And you can use the dots on the board to reduce the area of the playing field, whilst learning. Packages up neatly. Recommended!

Not fantastic quality but good enough for the price. Unfortunately, my flatmates and I eventually got a bit bored of go. The magnet go pieces make good fridge pixel art.
