Exactly what I expected, PERFECT!
I'm very pleased with this Presto fryer. I have an old (very old) Presto Deep fryer that I've used on and off for oh so many years. I didn't know they could last that long. That is the reason I purchased this small Presto Deep Fryer for my motorhome. I'm counting on it outlasting me haha! I used it for dinner tonight. I had some leftover homemade egg rolls in the freezer and fried them for about 5 minutes. They were still partially frozen and turned out fantastic. It comfortably held 4 regular-sized egg rolls. My next project will be fried homemade spinach & artichoke ravioli. The size is perfect for a single person or a couple. It will be great for fried mushrooms and wontons. My other one is such a breeze to clean, I'm assuming this one will be too. I highly recommend Presto to anyone looking for a quality, reliable product. I was surprised and pleased to see that they still make the magnetic cord for the fryer. 10 stars.

Portion control and travel handy!!
This is perfect for a dorm room, travel trailer or living "on the road"! Due to the nature of our job we travel often and live out of motel rooms for weeks at a time. I am always on the look out for small appliances that can be packed easily and won't take up a lot of table/counter space in a motel room. This little fryer fits the bill 100%. It heats up quick and will make one healthy size serving portion of fried foods, so it is also great for portion control. Exterior washes up easy with a damp soapy cloth and is compact so it can be set off in a corner when not in use and I can reclaim the area it was in when used to prepare food. The lid keeps grease splatters down to almost nothing, the basket adds more connivance to using the fryer as a portion control item. I prefer to deep fry with coconut oil, which can be expensive in a larger fryer. In this little thing, not even an issue! The fact the coconut oil will solidify at room temp (77f 25c) so I store it in the fryer. It takes about three hours for it to cool to the point of becoming a solid again. It doesn't take any longer to heat up then other oils, even from a solidified. The temp control is spot on. I've measured the oil temp with digital cooking thermometer and it always reads within a degree or two of the setting it is at. At the highest end the 350 temp is true and hot enough to brown/crips fires, breaded foods etc. Takes about ten minutes to get to the highest point and hot enough that dropping frozen items into the oil won't cool it down so much it struggles to get back to the 350 temp. It regulates the temp well also, not a lot of fluctuation in the temp once it is set. The plug is a quick release magnet style, so in case of an accident of getting tangled in the cord it will snap loose fast over dragging/tipping the fryer with the cord. It's been a handy gadget for us while traveling, saves our budget and waist line!

Much better than the Fry Daddy. Able to adjust temperatures
I have a Presto Fry Daddy And it burns everything because the grease gets way too hot. No way to adjust the temperature. Although the temperature is not 100% accurate on this cooker it allows you to fry food without burning them. In fact, onion rings, french fries, and beer, battered shrimp came out perfect. It only holds 4 cups of oil, which makes it perfect for one to two people.

I could not be happier with this fryer!
I love fried chicken. Coated with flour, dipped in egg, then flower again. I love fried catfish dredged in cornmeal. But hauling out the pan, dealing with the oil and cleaning up the mess which included splatters all over the stove (and sometimes me) was just too much trouble. This means if I wanted fried chicken or fish, it required a trip in the car, a wait for the order, a drive back home by which time the whole dinner had cooled off. I tried an air fryer, but it set off the fire alarm bells in my apartment. There was no fire of course, but the tremendous heat set them off. Then I stumbled onto this guy, holy cow, zip, zap, fried chicken the way I want it right from my kitchen. The stove was clean, the unit easy to clean and thinking ahead I bought a container to strain and hold the peanut oil I prefer for frying. So cook whatever protein I'm having, fish or chicken, wait for the oil to cool a bit, pour it into the oil storage container, take off the mesh insert (which catches all the debris), wash the mesh in soapy water, dry it, put it back, put the lid on and into the fridge it goes for next time I get a hankering.. Then soapy water in the actual fryer, a swish swish and it's clean. Rinse, dry, reassemble with the basket and I'm done. Although there is no 'green light' to show when temp has been reached, I put a few drops of clean water in the oil when I turn on the fryer. When the water starts to sizzle & pop, I know it's hot enough and it's time for me to put in the food. I got this a few months ago and have used it usually twice a week since then. What a great buy and just think of all the money I would have saved if I had bought this a long time ago. Worth noting: This is not for a large family unless they eat in shifts, but it's perfect for singles or couples. The convenience and time saved while I'm still having my favorites - priceless.

Es perfecta para freer papas, empanadas, falafel, etc... para 2 o 4 personas, lo mejor es bueno tienes que desperdiciar tanto aceite. El único inconveniente es para lavarle, si bien no es difícil tampoco es cómodo

Very pleased with this fryer. It takes about a Litre of oil and does just enough for servings for 2. I like the round shape; the magnetic plug and the firmness of the basket. The fryer is a pain to clean and deep frying is inherently messy so expect that some care and time is required for cleaning. Also, the basket handle insulation is minimal... could be heavier... one must be careful and always use gloves..
