Ingenious and does the trick!
I am so excited with these! I was using a small bowl within a larger bowl and although effective for keeping the ants out, the cats weren't too overjoyed about a floating bowl.When I found these I was overjoyed. I thought they might be too small but they hold more than you would expect.These are for outside cats so I have to take them in at night. I don't mind so much filling the ledge with water but the annoying part is trying to dump it out without dumping the cat food out. But I'll deal with it!

These are a good size, so cats can get their whiskers comfortable in the bowl as they eat. Absolutely no ants get in the bowl. Just add dish soap in the water in the moat.

Awesome safe bowls for feeding strays and out door animals
These bowls are awesome and safe to use! I feed two stray cats and its been rough. I constantly find the bowls full of ants. After using these bowls not a single ant has been in the bowls. I would not only purchase again but suggest them to others who have the same problem I did.
