people can be so rude and insensitive toward gluten sensitivities. yes this mascara is gluten-free, i have celiac and this has been my go-to mascara for years.

Q: How come this is so cheap? Is it bad?

I don’t think it’s real Mabelline is the reason it’s so cheap. It ships out of Istanbul, which is a huge red flag. I never would’ve ordered if I had known that. The one I received was not properly sealed in its packaging, so I have not even used it because I’m scared. I’ve owned this mascara before and this one is not it. Who knows what’s in this mascara. DO NOT BUY.

Q: people are saying this is awful and clumpy. what is your experence? I often have issues with mascara making my lashes clumpy

This may be an issue with washable version vs waterproof because the washable I wear is a dream to put on in a few strokes and comes off with a dab of tear free baby shampoo or Mary Kay oil free makeup remover (that seems rather oily?) Its never been ever clumpy and the brush comes out of the tube crystal clean except for a dab on the tip that you wipe on the rim, instead of a glob of mascara to wipe and swipe off. Unlike like Exhibitionist mascara, although a great mascara, once you wipe the gobs of it off of the brush before you apply it. Lash Sensation takes under 5 swipes to get full, soft, long, and curled lashes. Curls that lasts all day without an eyelash curler because the wand acts like a perfectly fitted cup that lifts and separate your lashes, in that “every defined lash” way, not the “spider look” way. The fullness is a kind of false lash look too, but soft lashes, not the fake stiff lashes way. I have sparse short lashes due to my thyroid disease, but every time, without fail that I wear this mascara, (I like to wear different colored mascaras on different days), I get the same comments...”oh wow mom, your eyes look really good today”. I love it that it don’t have to keep checking a mirror too, to see if I have splotches of mascara that looks like black hands reaching up from my eyes, haha. My prominent brow bone gets a lot of action from mascaras that smudge, usually the waterproof ones that remove with oils. The washable version of this doesn’t flake or smudge. I wish they made a brown in it though for blondes like me, so I can fool people into thinking these are my lashes! It’s the bomb mascara so I don’t know why it’s not in those videos of the top mascaras for 2020, or non-smudging, or last worthiness?! I hope the waterproof version I ordered today is good, but I’ll post back here if it sucks, haha. Then you’ll know it’s the waterproof version, and that the washable is the best ever!
