I bought this box to hold a golden wedding anniversary gift for my wife. My present wrapping skills are very limited and I thought this decorative box would make a presentable container. I filled the box with chocolate balls, each one wrapped in gold foil. I also popped in a small item of jewellery so she wouldn’t think I was mean. I hid the box in my rucksack and carted it to the other side of the planet to present it on the morning of our 50th wedding anniversary. Success! It went down very well. We are back home now and the golden balls are all eaten. The jewellery is chucked into a drawer with all the rest of her stuff. But this magnificent box remains. We love it. The decorative carving, the brass inlay and the rich colour of box exudes quality. And the wood smells lovely. It’s become a little box of memories and we are very pleased with it.

Lovely handmade wooden box, with lovely metal details and carving but shame the locking clasp is clearly not centered, that's why the 4 stars. Apart from this, it came very well wrapped and it is good value for money.
