At first I thought the cable was too wide, but I turned it upside down to see if it would slide in and it did. I then turned it over the right way and tried again and it went in with some wiggling. The cable itself is a little long. I'm guessing it's made for a larger laptop (maybe a 15") than the 14" that I have. I was able to still make the cable work even though it was a bit longer than I needed. I just folded it over itself a bit. I connected a 1TB ssd to it and after re-assembling the laptop and booting up, Windows recognized the 2nd drive right away.

This is a total magic upgrade for my Lenovo Idea Pad 3. I bought a SATA-SSD 2.5, followed an Example on YouTube and plugged it right in.Head's up: It's best to remove the battery, then install the dricve and the adapter.

I couldn't find a SATA cable for my Lenovo Y740. I ordered this one instead. I trimmed the motherboard connector on both sides and cut the tape that held the cable bends. I was able to plug this into my HDD expansion port and adjust the fold locations. My new hard drive is working great and was tested successfully using Passmark.

My newly bought computer had a bay for a secondary drive but no cable for it. Since I already had a 2.5" SSD, I started the hunt for the cable. Of course, Amazon had it, so I ordered it and had it installed in a matter of minutes. Installation was very easy.

This did not fit my computer, even after all the research and double-checking to ensure I had the correct one. wasted my money
