Perfect Solution for a Cloakroom Toilet Installation
I recently used the Ibergrif Angled Water Isolating Valves (1/2” x 1/2” BSP, 2pcs/Set, Chrome Brass) for a cloakroom toilet installation, and they worked perfectly. As a bathroom fitter, I needed a reliable solution for a cold feed inlet, and these valves were spot on.The build quality is excellent—solid brass construction with a sleek chrome finish that looks great and feels durable. The operation is smooth, and they provide a secure, leak-free connection. Installation was straightforward, and they fit perfectly without any hassle.Overall, a great product that does exactly what it should. I’ll definitely be using these again for future jobs. Highly recommended!

Great isolation valves
Bought and fitted these 12 months ago to isolate my basin tap. They look stylish as they are quite exposed below a wall hung basin and have performed faultlessly, no leaks, no seizure and turn off 100%.I recommend using loctite 55 thread sealant on the inlet thread ( take note diy plumbers, ptfe tape is so hit or miss on threaded fittings ) and they have given a modern and attractive finish to my new bathroom as well as easy maintenance. I highly recommend and will be using again when I revamp ensuite.

Does what supposed to, looks good installed
Look good installed, although chrome pipe entry covers are a bit lightweight.

Very tidy.
These are great. With an open under-sink I didn’t want bare pipe with the isolations so opted for these. It took a few turns of PTFE and some jointing compound to ensure a leak free install and you’re good to go. Fitting the taps was easy from there! Nice chrome finish - worth noting the cover disk can quite easily scratch the valve when you move it around to fit, but with some care it’s a non issue. They seal perfectly well when turned off (left for about 3 weeks before fitting the taps and turning them on and not a drop!). May even fit these upstairs too even though it’ll be hidden in a cupboard!

It does the job well and makes easier to isolate if needed for maintenance.

Shut off valves
Have used these for many years they are the go to shut off valve in many parts of EuropeA lot neater than an inline shut off valve fits standard 1/2 inch flexi tap tails and joints

Ok for the price
I wanted to bring a little bit of European tidiness to the bathroom. Instead of having a wobbly bit of 15mm pipe exiting a ragged hole with an over-painted isolation valve, I decided for a sturdy chrome plated tap properly fixed. I mounted two 1/2” brass elbows behind the plasterboard, allowing for about 5mm protrusion (allowing for subsequent tiling). Having secured the feed pipes with the compression fitting, I threaded the Ibergrif valves into place. Having tried them in place first, I realised that I was going to need to use more than the usual amount of PTFE to get a tight fit. Despite this, the threads are still a little too loose and although I could apply more tape to stop the very slight weep, I am now awaitIng delivery of some jointing compound to do the job properly. As a footnote, the majority of cheaper, quality taps on Amazon (Grohe etc) have 3/8 fixed tails and so you need an adapter for these valves but I note that Ibergrif do a 3/8 - 3/8 option but not a 1/2 - 3/8 option. Next time I might spend more to save on extra fittings and try a get a tighter fit. However, it is good to have access to other non-UK options for a higher quality finish.
