These egg shakers make our informal group singing times more fun by adding a pleasant, rhythmic sound. They’re hard plastic with a matte finish, exactly as pictured, and the same size as a regular grocery store egg. The pack came with 6, two of each color in the black, gray and cream scheme I selected. I don’t know if they will split if I drop them and I don’t plan on finding out, but there is a slightly visible seam where I can envision a split happening at some point. But for now, this fairly lightweight product does the job well for a reasonable price. I even put two egg shakers in my purse for spontaneous musicality moments…lol.

You get many for a few bucks. Don't worry about getting too many, they are great spontaneous gifts.

Cute little shakers that are just the right volume. The size is perfect for little hands and they’re not too loud or too soft in volume. We had some other kid shakers that you could barely hear but not these. Love that they came in a set (at a good price!) so both of my kids could play with them. I ended up adding to their Easter baskets this year. We use them often for our family band time. They’ve survived lots of drops on hardwood floors so can attest to their durability. My only nit is that I don’t love the logo on the front which rubs off a bit.

Very pleased with these shakers, good tone and good value. Pack of six makes it easy to share with friends and little ones. They sound a little different from the Meinl and other shakers that I have, but still in a pleasant musical way.

Egg shakers are a staple instrument for young children because they provide the appropriate volume of sound (unlike cymbals and sleigh bell shakers) and they are durable. Yes, children should be supervised using them because any egg shaker can break if thrown across the room hard enough (thanks, 6th graders!) which leaves you having to quickly sweep up the tiny pellets. So "we shake the eggs." This brand is sturdy and the colors are limited to three: perfect amount of choice when you have a class of 18 who are allowed to pick their own (so no arguing over the only violet colored egg etc.) I love that infants enjoy these (supervised) for grasping or rolling during floor-time. These give excellent sensory input from the beads which makes them intuitive and soothing at the same time.

These are an amazing little musical egg rattle toy. I’ve used them with my daughter primarily but now my infant son also and they are always enjoyed. They are a durable plastic and smooth, the perfect size for children’s grasp and not too heavy or bulky. The colours are bright and stimulating to small eyes and they are fabulous for the price of them. A wonderful addition to our musical instrument toy collection.

I bought these after a sing-along session at the library where my daughter fell in love with them! They’re lightweight, easy for little hands to hold, and make music time so much fun.
