Sidewinder ProXtreme T6 – The Ultramodern Finger, Hand, Wrist, Forearm, Fat Grip Strengthener #5, Adjustable Resistance

The Sidewinder T6 is a fantastic product for developing your forearms. The T6 works by rotating the handles against a resistance that the T6 provides internally. The resistance that the T6 has against rotation of the handles is adjusted by a knob on the side of the device. You can do a standard forearm extension or flexion movement with the handles, as well as a side-to-side motion by using the capped end on one of the handles opposite the tension adjustment knob. The knurling on the handles is just right for me and I consider it to be quite aggressive. Each of the handles is in a conical shape that is narrower (but still pretty wide) near the ends and gets progressively thicker as you approach the center of the device. What the T6 really offers over other traditional forearm tools is convenience. There is no loading of weights to be done, just quickly dial in a tension level and get to working. The small form factor allows you to move it around and work out your forearms casual setting, such as while reading or watching TV. The only real negatives I have to offer bout the T6 at this point is price point and tracking tension set on the device. As far as I can tell tension levels are best found by starting from no tension and counting the number of full clockwise rotations to your desired setting. There are also small grooves on the screw rod that you could count to get a rough idea of the tension set. The manufacturer recommends that the tension be reset to neutral after use, so you'll be mentally counting rotations to get back to where you wanted to work out again.

Very good quality product. From an engineering perspective this item works by friction; only. With a resistance setting. It works nice, however I would have designed this with a torsion spring instead/or added to it, as the resistance would have been more comfortable and productive for lack of a better word.

Bit pricey, but grip strength & big forearms is important to me. Totally worth it & excellent construction!

I'm 64, and knew I needed to start getting more exercise, and this product I can do while watching TV, reading, etc. With the results I've seem in the past week, I've even started to do other exercises, getting myself off the couch to see how else I can get in shape. My kids like it too. Came perfect, works great, would definitely recommend!

A high-quality expander, but came with scratches. I'm a little upset about this circumstance.

Buy it. I had previous iteration but this one is better. The grip is wider and resistance more consistent. Pump your forearms like a mighty blacksmith.

I have SideWinder pro2, but this one is a big upgrade to it. Big grip to grab and non slip grip are great.

As soon as I saw the Sidewinder T6 I wanted one. I have the Sidewinder Pro Xtreme and am really pleased with it - even though I don't use it that much. Finally managed to get my hands on the T6 (one of two last ones on Amazon). The box is about 3 feet long, had to wonder what the hell was in it. The T6 was packed in a smaller box inside the outsized one. I Broke out the bad boy and was somewhat overwhelmed and under whelmed; worth £250 price tag? Certainly not! £150 tops! The T6 is certainly big, bigger than the Pro Xtreme by about and 1 1/2 inches. Differences of T6 to Pro Xtreme is that the T6 is more 'Organic'; the tapering handle allows for little finger to grip as strongly as the index finger; the bottle top end allows better finger tip gripping; the narled surface (really good) is more grippy than the neoprene of the Pro Xtreme; it's heavier to work your shoulders more; there's a grid pattern on the handles that can be used to measure how much you turn the handles; and the larger size makes working your back a bit more comfortable. I just got the T6 this afternoon, I'm tired but happy I've got my hands on one - a little excited too. One really good plus is that if you have carpule tunnel (wrist) issues twisting the T6 will help aliviate some of the discomfort. I will continue to use it and update soon with some pictures of the T6 and Pro Xtreme. One downer, another owner reported scratches on his T6; I have the same scratches on mine, so it appears to be a manufacturing or production issue rather that a rough transit. P.S. its also a good looking piece of equipment, but not as well made as the Pro Xtreme; as the T6 rattles a little, where as the Pro Xtreme is absolutly a silent operator. The choice is yours.
