How to Use the IDE/SATA to USB.3 Converter Correctly
1/ Connect the 2.5/3.5 inch IDE/SATA hard drives to the matched connector securely on the adapter;
2/ Use the attached USB 3.0 cable to connect the hard drive adapter with computer. And connect the 12V 2A power adapter to power source for power supply. And for 3.5" IDE drives, the 4 pin power cable needs to be connected too;
3/ Press ON/OFF button to turn the adapter on;
4/ Check in the Disk Management( or Device Manager) to see if the connected SSD/HHD drives recognized by the computer. If the hard drives are not partitioned yet, please partition them before using. Otherwise,they won't be recognized by computer or show up in Disk Management.
5/ If the hard drives spin, but don't show up in Disk Management, please try to format them and repartition it. For their partition method may not be compatible with this adapter.
6/If the capacity of your hard drives is not fully recognized, please try to use a 12V 3A power adapter to supply power to the enclosure, instead of its original 12V 2A power adapter. And if your drive is more than 2TB, please try to format it and use GPT (GUID Partition Table) to partition it.

Note:
1, Please plug in the power adapter before connect to computer and turn on; and remove the hardware safely on computer before unplugging
2. Please connect the power supply while using the converter to ensure the stable power
3. For 3.5" IDE drivers and old SATA HDD, you need to connect 12V2A power adapter and 4-pin power cable provided
4. Win XP 32bit system does NOT support 2TB above HDD
5. When using this IDE/SATA to USB adapter on PS4 or Xbox One, the connected hard drives have to be formatted on PS4 or Xbox One before using. So back up the data files on computer first before using the drives on PS4 or Xbox One.
