Have a Question? See What Others Asked

How far away can they go from the reciever?
So my previous question hasn't really been answered. Says vibe to turn on and off but that's not working. I know the hold right button to turn on/off
Unit works great except it keeps sounding false alarms when its still within the defind high/low range. How can I completely disable the alarms?
Will this work for a single axle trailer? I will only use 2 of the 4 sensors, so will that mess up the calibration?

Jansite TPMS

Mine sensors been working well. Regarding the temperature sensors, since they are located OUTSIDE of the tires they cannot really tell you how hot the tires are. However, temperature sensors CAN alert you to the fact that the outside air temperature might be at or below freezing, so you will be alerted that there may be ICE on the road. As for the accuracy of the pressure readings, for myself I have pressurized my four tires using a gauge I believe to be accurate and THEN installed the Jansite sensors and noted what THEY indicated, and then used those numbers as my targets. BTW the Jansite sensors that I have are close to right; certainly a lot better than having no sensors at all, IMHO. I hope you will be as happy with your TPMS as I am with mine.

if I did it again, I would do it a different way

First thing I want to bring up is these will throw the balance of your rims off by .4oz right off the bat. This may or may not be enough to cause vibration depending upon your car. In mine it was enough and I hated it. Easy enough fix with some wheel weights though so be prepared. My real gripe though is accuracy. On the air pressure side of things these work best to get an idea on if you car is leaking air, or maybe due to seasonal temp changes if the air pressure is way off. But even between all 4 sensors, they all read different on the same tire by up to around a 4PSI difference. At least gives you an idea what the pressure is, but if you are like me and wanting to fine tune the pressure to get max tire life or trying to keep good grip then these just aren't it. Sadly, there isn't a way to calibrate them either so it's just the way it is.when it comes to temperature sensor, these things are worthless. Because they are basically a glorified valve stem cap they are better at reading the outside air temp then the actual tire temps. they are far enough removed from the main mass of air inside the tire itself that there just isn't enough conduction of air/heat to really get an accurate tire temp. comparing them with a infrared camera confirms and shows quite a bit of a temp difference. aggressive driving didn't really make the temps go up either. But do you really need the tire temp feature anyway? Only you can determine that. if you do, an inside the tire TPMS would be a better option.

Cool gadget. Will buy again. From a different company.

I like to keep my tires at nominal levels. When I first saw one of these devices I had to get one. But instead of being patient and waiting until I had the funds, I took a gamble and bought this one.It worked. That isn't the issue. It came with everything needed to operate the thing. Even instructions. That's where things start to get weak. Like the instructions. They're good enough to get you through set up and installation but thats about it.If I was to have a hand in developing those instructions, I would have tried to have made an effort to explain what thise nuts were. So my only guess would be, keep in mind that this is a guess, they were some type of locking anti theft mechanism? Because after installation, you couldn't take the sensors off. You would presumably have to do something with those nuts. Of course if you had to fill your tires with air, you would have to be able to take those sensors off.Well, you see, the instructions did not mention the size of those nuts but they did provide a tool to install those nuts. The tool is really flimsy and mines broke while I tried to reverse the installation process. Long story short, after trying to figure out how to remove the sensors, I got frustrated and tore them off. They are no longer operational. Also, they were surprisingly easy to force off. A decent pair of slip joints did the trick.

Had a problem but their support team resolved it quickly

Original review:I bought this product in March and it was working great since I installed it. As the weather turned colder in my area, two tires indicated low pressure (typical for my car/area and the main reason I bought this). So I removed my TPMS caps and aired up the tires that were low. Unknown to me at the time, the Right Front TPMS cap's rubber seal fell out. I replaced my caps and garaged the car. The next morning I discovered the RF tire was completely flat. I removed the cap and filed the tire, then I replaced the TPMS cap again. But this time the compressor was off and I could hear the air escaping. After removing the cap I discovered the seal had fallen out. I only took the cap off once after install and it seems like it was faulty.Vendor contacted me after reading my review and asked for some more details and a pic to confirm which seal it was and then offered to send me a replacement at no cost. It arrives today and I have to say I was impressed with how well and quickly they communicated and resolved the issue. Other than this issue, I had no problems with the device and it worked just as I'd hoped. Based on that and the strong customer support (and the fact that they read their reviews and respond), I had to give this a five star review.

Doesn’t work if front/rear pressures are different

These will only work if your tires have the same pressure front and rear and will only work on cars and small trucks. I have a light truck running pressures at 56 and 80 psi. you can only set one pressure for low and high pressure alarms. The high pressure alarm is limited to 85psi and you can’t turn it off. So on hot days or on the highway the unit starts beeping that tire pressure is too high. Not very useful.
