Truly a very good cup of coffee. Ive had many many cups of coffee over time and most disappoint for one reason or the other. Lately I have been trying different brands and they always comes up too bitter - I have to add salt and more hot water etc. But honestly, this tastes so good! It's not bitter or acidic. Tastes fresh - has a unique flavor, almost buttery. I don't have to do anything to change it. It was on sale so the cost was affordable. Not sure what the full cost is, but I really like it so it would be worth it. UPDATE: today the cup of coffee was a little too strong. idk if it’s the mug I used or the coffee. But it’s not as good today.

Being from the Bay Area, I feel we have a more eclectic palette for coffee than most. Many of us do not do Starbucks, but my story on Starbucks. I went with a friend and she got me a black coffee. I couldn't finish. It was so bad. I figured out why customers do all these sugar pumps of crap for your system. It's because the coffee is so bad. I compared Pete’s process with Starbucks coffee beans, both decaffeinated and caffeinated. It's much healthier process of Peet’s than Starbucks. Starbucks used, not sure now. A chemical process, not a water steam. I stick with Pete’s or if I do change, I go with Louisiana brand coffees with chicory. I'm waiting for Pete’s to do a chicory. Hint. Hint. I like this particular café Domingo coffee because it's so smooth. You get the strength of drinking a cup of coffee, but it's not bitter.. The finish is really almost sweet. It's not a weak coffee, Pete’s makes coffees that are lighter but from my review, this is a really nice coffee.

Peet's offers a truly premium flavor in this easy pod format. The coffee tastes freshly roasted, not old. It is a bold, balanced medium roast. For the high quality, the value is excellent compared to other brands. If you like a rich, non-acidic morning cup, this is the one to get.

The coffee is strong and tastes great but the delivery was wrong. It went to the wrong address. I had to go get it from the other address. If you like strong dark coffee then this is the one.

Lifelong (since 1970) Peet’s addiction. I try other brands but truly, I always go back. My complaint is definitely a first world problem, but it is pure disillusionment for me. Peet’s is pretending that their cups are recyclable, and I’m here to say I will not be able to recycle these. It takes longer to peel of the foil than to brew my coffee. Then it’s not possible to peel off all of the foil, so I’m not sure if that makes the plastic so it cannot be recycled or not. Then I have to dig out the damp coffee with my fingernail (yuck!). I tried to transition to Cambio, who have a truly decent recyclable cup—easy to remove foil, easy to release grounds liner, and aluminum cup. Alas, I missed my Peet’s flavor and returned. But having had the experience of a reasonably easy recycled pod, I was just all the more disappointed to see Peet’s impersonating a recyclable cup. This comes at a bad time for this grandmother. Seems all of the institutions I identified with and trusted—over a lifetime —are failing me. I suppose that’s why this hurts so much. I can’t give up my cup of coffee (3x a day), but I will have to try to get over my feeling of betrayal with every one of them.
