"super stopper" is the anti-reverse, meaning it's an instant anti-reverse. The reels ship with the switch off, but just turn it on and it will only spin one way. If you've ever used a really cheap spincast reel, the anti-reverse kicks in after maybe 1/4 turn of the handle, whereas this can go forward ONLY (when the switch is engaged).
