What is the length difference between large and xl in this vest? do they make a large tall?

I'm 6'2" and the regular vest in large is a perfect fit as a layer or outer.

I’m 5’5 170lbs would a medium be to tight?

I'd say it's a trim fit. I'm 6'2 190 and a large fits me in perfectly with just enough room for a light layer. In the field I wear it under a full camo jacket.
