Nalgene Tritan Wide Mouth BPA-Free Water Bottle

Greetings and salutations!Now that the introductions are out of the way, let's talk "Bottle".I have bought 3 of the large ones and 1 small one. They all have issues.#Big Versions#+ It's durable'ish (?)+ It's easy to clean+ It holds a lot of water (drink TWO of these a day and you meet healthy water requirements)+ It's attractive (and flirtatious)The big versions are pretty durable. I've dropped them in the road and they've gotten scratched a handful of times. Cool right? Yes, but maybe I just got lucky. I accidentally dropped my bottle the other day when it was full of water onto a wooden floor...and it finally broke near the base. This was a huge tragedy. George, the Red Water Bottle, will be missed. Odd that it dies from wood, but not from the road.These are pretty easy to clean. If you have small hands you can sponge it from the inside. If you have big hands, then use a sponge "stick". Sorry for the technical term there! The only part that can be annoying to clean is the cap, which has some indented areas that DO collect debris. Don't ignore this area. Clean it! You may even have to spread it open to see all the gunk.I do love this bottle though. Hence owning 3 (2 now...after the death of George the Red).----#Small Version#+ It's durable.+ It's portable- It's hard to clean (must use "sponge stick" [another technical term, sorry]).---Get them. Don't even just sit there thinking about it. Do it. And if you do, then please let your water bottle know that family member George is dead.R.I.P. George the Red Water Bottle.

I feel as if I've gone round about in a circle looking for the perfect water bottle setup but I guess you have to go through different things until you find that 'one'.I started with the Klean Kanteen a number of years ago and got to the point where I just didn't like it - heavy, started having a metal taste, tasted mildewy no matter how well I cleaned it, etc, but wanted to avoid plastic!Then, from there I discovered Nalgene and ordered a NARROW mouth 32 oz bottle because I had trouble spilling when drinking from the larger opening on the KK. I thought I had found perfection and happiness (see my review and updated version of it) but discovered it was not easy to clean and was developing spores. Yeah..So, back to ordering a Nalgene 32 oz WIDE mouth opening bottle for ease of cleaning but during my search I discovered the Humangear CapCap lid and voila! How cool is that?! Duh..somebody 'gets it'..!What a perfect and convenient solution to offering choices! So, I ordered this bottle, along with the Humangear capcap lid and it seems to be the greatest setup for me so far.I will definitely be ordering more. As long as they clean really well (and I bought a baby-bottle brush to help), I might even bring back some colored ones, which prohibited me from seeing 'things', but for right now I'm sticking with the clear one.These are great!

Nalgene has been manufacturing terrific water bottles for years, and I'm glad to see they are still producing a high-quality product. I purchased this water bottle as a gift to make it easier for them keep track of how much water they drink in a day, especially on the really hot days when you need to drink a lot more. Upon receiving the bottle and looking it over, it appears to be of a good quality and should last decades, if properly cared for. As it claims, there are no ill-smells in the bottle if water is left stagnant for a few days. The bottle is made from a tough material that appears to be able to stand up to a lot of use and abuse.I, personally, have used the same Nalgene bottle for over 11 years, and the only reason it doesn't look new is because I accidentally scrubbed it with the abrasive side of a sponge. Aside from that, it shows very little wear, despite the frequent use, and it looks like it will probably last another 11 years, maybe more. I am mentioning this unrelated bottle to exhibit the positive experience I've had with Nalgene over the years.These are fantastic bottles that are a must have, especially if you do a lot of walking, hiking, or camping. It's a great bottle to take to the gym, as well.Did I forget to mention that it's also made in the U.S.A.?I highly recommend this product for anyone and everyone. I'm sorry if this review sounds like I'm dolling out too much praise, but out of all the water-bottles I've owned, this one has lasted many years longer than others. They're a bit expensive, but it's really worth it because they are well made.Happy hydration!

I've used all manner of bottles and containers for my outdoor activities, and they all were decent - unremarkable. I had a low standard for plastic water bottles, and was content if I got three uses out of them before they fell apart or started leaking. Ever since my first Nalgene bottle, I haven't looked back. Special-purposes aside, the Nalegene Tritan Wide Mouth bottles have become THE STANDARD bottle for all of my use. They of a significantly higher quality than previous bottles and canteens I've owned, and I appreciate the absence of Bisphenol-A. They've survived ten times the abuse of bottles I've paid twice as much for. The wide mouth has become essential, since I space became a premium for me while doing ultralite backpacking. As well, the wide mouth makes it easier to use with my SteriPen and filters, and allows me to use it as a container when foraging for small edibles. Partially filled with water, with an LED flashlight placed over it, the brighter-colored bottles make nice lanterns or signals at the campsite. There's such a wide variety of colors available, to match most folks' styles - I'm partial to blues, gray, and black. I'm quite pleased with their overall quality and versatility, and I only carry Nalgene bottles from now on.

Wider mouth bottles are best for cleaning inside plus nalgene quality is number one.ive had at least 10 bottles of different types and some with hinged lids or cheap plastics and they all broke very quick but these have superior build and no hinged lid that can fail so its a winner

This is a great little bottle. It is robust and completely water tight. The water tastes fresh even after a few days. Ideal for work or adventure. Delivery was quick.

Die Nalgene Flaschen liegen ja aktuell sehr im Trend und man sieht sie ständig im FitnessStudio. Jetzt kann ich endlich mitreden und bin sehr happy.*Sie ist dicht! Sollte eigentlich selbstverständlich sein, leider ist es das aber nicht. Ich mache sie voll und lege sie in meine Sporttasche. Da läuft nix aus.*Sie ist Spülmaschinenfest und wird durch die große Öffnung auch wirklich sauber. Flaschen mit kleiner Öffnung würde ich deshalb auch nicht kaufen. Nach kurzer Zeit werden die eklig.*Flasche ist wertig gearbeitet und vorallem BPA frei, das ist mir wichtigTipp: Flasche offen lassen bei Nichtbenutzung, sonst fängt es an unangenehm zu riechen!
