Mine creates a visible spark and a loud pop whenever turned off. Is this normal, or is this a faulty device?

Must be a faulty device mine has never done anything like this.

Yes, I believe that is correct. This unit is essentially 4 amps. By bridging you are creating 2 which could be a left and a right.

Can this work for a small restaurant, 4 sets of speakers? what else would I need to buy to set up a system (am no music xpert, as you can tell!)

The amp has 4 zones and 4 inputs. (One input to each zone independently controlled or almost like having 4 separate single channel amps in one) You may have to use a splitter on your audio source (Example MP3 player) to hook up to each input (Like a "Y" Adapter)The amp is pretty nice if this is what your needing it for. I used it to install in a customers house for multi room control.Note* System also has 1/4 mono audio inputs (Not RCA) and the outputs use Speacon adapters to speakers themselves. (Not a big deal, just need to be aware that you will need these adapters to terminate cable)Hope this Helps!

３０年前に購入した同出力のパワーアンプは４０万円弱の値段でしたから、いい時代です(笑) 値段からすると中古、もしくは訳ありかと思っていましたが新品でした。冷却ファンがウルサイ等の評価がありましたがPA用のアンプはこれが普通です。評価を読んでもっとウルサイのかと心配しましたが普通でした。むしろおとなしい方かも、、、奥行きが深くラックケースの蓋ギリギリで納まります。そのため接続ケーブルや電源は外さないと蓋は閉められません。作りも普通にしっかり出来ていて、いい製品です。重量は以前の他社のアンプから比べると軽くなったほうです。この値段なら、もう一台かな～(今のうち、今のうち、、笑)

メインスピーカーが耐圧50W(RMS)なのでそれが飛ばないようなパワーアンプを探した結果、RMS40W PEAK50Wのこれが出ました。4chあるのでメインスピーカーとは別にフロアモニターに繋ぐこともできます。ツマミがクリック式なので手がぶつかってめちゃくちゃデカくなった/左右の音量バランスが合わないみたいなことは起きません。まだ使い始めて1ヶ月も経っていないのでこれといったデメリットは感じていませんが、使っているうちに気づいたことがあったらまたこちらに書きます。

Great Product, and , as advertised. The Behringer EP2000 complements my Home theatre extremely well, for clean audio reinforcement in powering my POLK RTIA9 speakers. The transients are handled quickly...with discerning ease. The power is magnificently delivered early in the gain dials - without any hint at distortion ( THD or IMD) coming at any position on the dial. I threw some Classical, Jazz (Santana ) , Reggae ( Marley styling on " Concrete Jungle " , etc..**. I really wanted to challenge this Beast.!!!. But alas...this Beast was beautiful! Validation of the Crossover points to my Equalizer was measured as per the specifications of those stated in the Behringer stats - a difinitive confirmation** There are complaints heard - on the issue of Fan noise when the EP2K/4K is used in a Home Theatre setting, but there are multiple solutions to this. (Quiet fan options, Noise suppression cabinet rack housing enclosures..to name two). However , as I commented above , Clean , Raw power, with ATR at it's best application in a BOX that delivers- on time , every time...is much like winning the the lottery - for a relatively " minor " investment!! To Behringer....job well done!! Thank You. I must now look to the Boss EP4000 I guess. I need to sleep on that....perhaps a BIG Party!! Incorrigible....I know!!
