If you go to Franklins site, their original pricing is identical at 49.99. The baseball version is cheap as hell and the baseballs rip on first use.

no, they are more of a wiffle ball, and there is a soft foam bat

Come loose. They have Velcro on them there should be multiple balls. If your child is little it may take a couple hit s for the ball to launch

Potentially. This would really be more useful to a beginner and I also believe a 7 year old would be much taller and probably get leas long term use from it. Also, you can likely find something taller and more durable for a 7 year old.
