Truthfully, I have no idea what they are made of. My little Bichon chews them right off in 2 mins flat she does not eat them. I would not purchase again. Totally useless for me.

Q: Could this prevent pets from chewing on the furnitures?

I think it would depend on the dog. I wrap my dogs paw in it to keep medicine in and cut down on licking but he still licks it. Maybe I just have a weird dog!

Q: Can this be put on over stitches?

I would put a Telfa pad or other non-stick dressing over the stitches then wrap with petflex. But you might want to ask your vet

Q: Is this strong enough to work on pet rats?

Only if they don’t like the taste. Our problem was with a cat chewing through an oxygen tube. Once the smell went away she started chewing on it again.
