Yes you can make shish kabab on this grill. The grill is very versatile red meat kababs will have to cook longer then chicken.

Can this grill be set up for indirect cooking for low and slow cooking?

Don't fully understand the question but I can say this grill is very cheaply manufactured. I couldn't recommend it to anyone.
