This product is versatile on all hair types i feel..depending on how much of the product you're applying and what's need for your hair moreseo the hair type.

Q: Is this product safe for permed hair?

Yes. My daughter uses it on her permed hair.

Q: What pattern would this be best for? I can’t seem to find their recommendation. Would it be okay for waives, or is it too heavy?

It would be okay for waves my hair is wavy also but honestly I didn’t like any of the Mielle products. I saw no difference in my hair. It was dry and brittle even after using the leave in conditioner :(
