How long does it take to heat up enough to use?

It takes about 10-15mins to heat up. You can use it thereafter up until you run out of water. It is highly recommended to use distilled water. Personally, I find the distilled water does not come to highest heat, therefore steam is not optimum. I seem to get a lot more water spitting out than steam using distilled water. Although distilled supposedly extends the life of the eating element and/or reservoir.

What is the difference between this and the McColloch M-1275 in terms of attachments and steam pressure?

I have bought the mccollough brand brushes for the Wagner and they fit fine. That is the only part that I know for sure is interchangeable.

just bought a home with tile floor. how foes tjis work on tile and grout?

Just bought this and tried it out not 15 minutes ago. One of the attachments doesn't work, the others are fine. It only has enough pressure for about 30 seconds, then you have to wait a few minutes to pressure up again to use it. I give this 1/5 stars. One of my worst purchases ever.
