Flies like hot weather. This is a heater. You are unlikely to be using it when flies are a problem.

yes but just a small amount it's a good little unit but more for warm air then cold air.

Q: is there a cable attached. I want to attach my own cable from a fused spur

Mine came with a cable attached, about 1-1.5m. You can't take it out without dismantling the heater.

No. A heater for a bathroom should have a cord switch. This doesn't.
