Not too bad of an rc car
This is a great small rc car but there are things you need to know before buying it.The car is RWD so only the back wheels are rubber while the two front are plastic wheels. That means it doesn't have steering like normal rc cars. To turn the back wheels rotate in opposition directions. So turning is a bit awkward looking but can be done. Since only the back two wheels are rubber, the car tends to spin out easily when going moderate speeds. Trying to use the boost will cause this car to veer off/spin out in a different direction on hardwood floors.Something neat about this rc car and controller is that they aren't bound together. I have this model (GTR) and also the cybertruck one (got it early hehe) and either controller can connect to either car. So that means you can keep one controller out and then pick what car you want to hook it up to.The pairing is super easy. Just turn the remote on and turn the car model you want to link it to on and then they'll link. If you want to use the other car with this same controller, then turn both the current car and controller off and then repeat the pairing process with the other car. This is great bc I leave both cars out with one controller and whenever I want to use one I don't have to worry about finding it's specific controller.I haven't tested this on hotwheels tracks bc I don't own any so I can't comment on if it truly works on the tracks like hotwheels claims.I think this is a decent rc car. I love that it's the same size as a regular hotwheels car but wish it had steering like normal rc cars. The price of it being $20 to me doesn't sound TOO unreasonable. If they ever drop down in price or go on sale I may even get the Mustang model.PROS:- Small/light-weight- Fast (can also be a con)- Price ($20 retail)- Controller can pair to either modelsCONS:- RWD (rear wheel drive)- Doesn't steer like normal rc cars- Front tires are plasticHope this review helps some people make a decision on if they want to buy this or purchase it for someone as a gift.

THIS WILL NOT DISAPPOINT!
This fits hot wheels tracks perfectly and honestly super fun. It feels like cheating since you don't have to overcome hills with Boosters and it is powerful enough for loops. Durable to take plenty of hard jumps. Also the car techniquely doesnt turn like a regular car it turns by differentiating power from left side and right side, (so you just have left gas and right gas buttons) I think this is because this way you can take it for sweet loops on the track without those pesky steering mechanics, and still take it down stairs to the sweet sweet polished hardwood floors for drifting sessions. This will not disappoint. Only thing I regret is that at the time of my purchase I wasn't aware there was a cyber truck version 😳

I paid 11.49 for this
It is definitely a fun toy. My kid is 4 we build tracks abd then he operates this thing. It's fun! It great to going really fast. I will say I paid $11.49 for this, I have another that I paid $20 for, I believe they are worth the price. We're 6 months from when he received the first one and he still plays with it all the time. Worth it.

Arguably better than the other ones
This Hotwheels RC is our 3rd one; we already owned the Batmobile and the red one (Rodger Dodger). Even though they are all controlled the same (rear wheels only, with turns made by rear wheels turning in opposite direction or differential speed), this Nissan one seems to be easier to control. Is it the weight balance of the housing? Is it just that it has newer tires? Not sure but that is my experience.FYI, each vehicle can be synced with any of the other controllers. But as long as one vehicle is synced with one controller, there's no problem having races with the 3 cars. Also, you should know that these RC cars are considerably lighter than regular Hotwheels (with very little metal). I mean they would have to be to be able to run so long with a tiny motor and rechargeable battery. So for that reason, they would probably break a lot more easily if they were to suffer a fall off a cliff, a drop, etc.

So much fun!
Bought this for my nephew for his 8th birthday a month ago. He was not too excited at first but once he played with it - he LOVES IT! My younger son (4) and I played with it recently and thought it was so fast and fun! We love hot wheels but I can’t stand the boosters to make your car go and this can totally replace the boosters! Will definitely be buying this for my 4 and 7-year-old.
