Would you say it is harder or softer than if you use a tennis ball?

I feel like it is harder than a tennis ball, but more effective since you can roll the entire bottom of the foot simultaneously. You can control the pressure somewhat depending on how much of your own weight you put on it. I found it to be more comfortable than a tennis ball.

does one roller work for both feet (together) or just one foot?

I was using it for one foot at a time but with this question, I gave both feet at the same time a try. It does work for my feet (which are a bit on the narrow end of the spectrum) but the very edges of my feet are off the roller a bit. Just the pinky toe area. The roller is 5 inches long.
