smells divine; pieces are a bit small
they're a bit smaller than standard size but so fresh and wonderfully fragrant it's forgiveable/worthwhile. i haven't burned any yet, i'm still waiting for my burner/holder to arrive, but my whole box of sundries that these shipped in smelled like palo santo.

Strong, clean, sweet, lingering.
This is amazing stuff. The scent is really strong - a little goes a long way. It's a sweeter smell than a lot of resins, but nice. The package arrived quickly, and was exactly what it looked like it would be from the listing. I've never tried palo santo in any form before; I wanted to try this because I like most resinous scents (frankincense, benzoin, myrrh) and because I don't like burning manufactured incense indoors because the next day, it always smells acrid and unpleasant. I thought this might not, and I was right. I burned only a tiny bit of one stick - probably less than a minute between holding it to the match and stubbing out the embers - and the scent was actually a little too strong for me, and lingered (without changing) for days. I think that even a small piece could be used outdoors and still have a very strong scent. For me, indoors, this was actually too much. I didn't actually *want* to be smelling it for days. Next time, I'm going to burn even less, and give some thought to air circulation before I start. Also, the scent really is very sweet. I expected a drier, more spicy/prickly smell, because that's been my experience with resinous scents, but this is quite different from anything else I've tried. I think it will take a few tries before I'm used to it and really like it. Regardless, this is quite amazing stuff, potent and clean-burning. If you like palo santo, I doubt there's any way you wouldn't like this. If you don't know palo santo, at this price, you can afford to experiment - and what you get will last you a long time.

soothing
smells great but doesn't stay lit for long unless you burn the whole thing at once.

Top-tier item. I can not use chemical fragrances due to my allergies. This gives my home a smooth natural sent. I will purchase again.

Yes! These Are REAL Palo Santo Sticks - Read My Advise on How to Use Them!
I was recently in a store selling palo santo sticks here in Florida for $6.50 PER stick. I thought there had to be a better way! I'm glad I found it. I have been burning incense for a few years now and I have bought fake and real palo santo sticks. If you have a keen nose, you can tell the difference right off the bat. Rest assured that these are absolutely, without a doubt, 100% pure, palo santo sticks. You can smell them through the bag alone without cracking the seal. These are NOT made for firewood (as I saw someone already post lol) and you will hate yourself for burning them as such. These sticks run about 5 inches in length each and will burn very slowly, yes, as they should. For those who are new to burning a palo santo wood stick: it is important to know and understand that this stick is not an incense stick. It is not made to be lit and to keep burning. You will need to hold a lighter to the stick and "roast" the end you want burned for a solid 45 seconds. Once the flame blows out (whether it goes out on its own or you blow it out), a red cherry will remain at the end of the stick. Thick gray smoke will pour from the stick. The idea is to walk around the house and wave the scent into the rooms you want to smell like palo santo. After a few minutes of burning, the stick will put itself out and you will be left with the aroma of palo santo wood. If the stick is still lit when you are done using it, you may snub the cherry out in a stone or ceramic bowl, where the stick may rest from heat. You want to make sure you grab some sort of heat resistant bowl to rest the stick in, as you cannot set it down on a countertop. This palo santo in particular burns very well. The scent is smokey with a hint of (almost) cedar, and a top note of very light citrus. The smell is STRONG. This is not an incense you want to burn under your nose at a desk. Light a stick, blow it out, and place it across the room from you so that you may enjoy the smell in small bursts as the smoke wisps around the room. You don't want to keep re-lighting the wood, as the smell may become so strong, you will grow to dislike it. Think of palo santo like cinnamon on french toast. A little bit is yummy, a little more is amazing, but too heavy and you just ruined breakfast! I found that each stick from this package lasts about 4 weeks in my home (burning for a few minutes a day), so with this pack, I probably will not need to buy anymore palo santo incense for quite a while. When I need more, I know exactly who to buy from! Happy customer by far.
