I have the type c version, but one of my computers has no female c port. Can I still use this? I could find a female c to hdmi or USB adapter.

In order to use any type of hub like this with a multitude of ports, you're going to need a port type that supports all of them. USB-C is the most versatile of them all, which allows for all the ports that are built into this dock to be used. Using a USB 2.0 or 3.0 to USB-C may work but probably not, as those adapters are typically built for small scale data transfer or power transfer. In short, you'd need a female USB-C Cable on your computer to use this product.

Yes, just make sure you get the usb C version.

not sure what you are trying to do. this is usb 3 hub and the host is usb-c, for future usb-c connection, you can't use this hub.
