Good yogurt starter for sensitive types
This is the first time I've been able to get homemade yogurt to work for me. This was also the first time I used a legitimate yogurt maker, so I'm sure that also helped. I tried the cooler method and mesophilic yogurt and both upset my sensitive system. I have food allergies, chemical allergies, and weird sensitivities to a lot of things and had no issues with this product (other than I can tell the probiotics are strong in this- but that's a good thing). I like the fact that there are no additives or weird extras in these packets- probably why it worked out for me. I also like this company because you know what probiotic strains are in it and it looks like they have other packets with specific strains to choose from. My first batch was fermented for 24 hours to eliminate as much lactose out of it as possible. It is a bit sour and tastes similar to my store-bought lactose free yogurt. This has more of a nice creamy kick at the end though that I enjoy. I will be curious to see how a 2nd batch works out from the 1st one. I will definitely be purchasing more from this company.

Good product
Well this is a very nice product I found the flavor somewhat different than what I'm accustomed to. It was a little more tangy.

Horrible
I was excited to get an actual yogurt starter, but I was disappointed because from the wording in the description it sounded like there were four types of active cultures, but it appears there are really only two according to the packaging. But it still fuzzy. I make yogurt at home a lot for over a year now, and this was the worst yogurt I have ever made. Or ever tasted. It was horrible. When I checked the first carton, it has a lot of liquid so I poured it off carefully and then tasted it. I had to spit it out because it tasted rancid. After I strain the yogurt in a coffee filter, the resulting Greek style yogurt was okay in the end, but it was shocking.I have been using a small package of store-bought Creek and organic if possible yogurt as my starter before I tried this. I'm going back to that, and I recommend you do too. It can be bought for less than a dollar, depending on what brand and please read the labels and buy something that has only milk and active cultures as ingredients. A lot of fancy yogurt brands look and sound healthy, but they are full of additives. Even Yoplait and Dannon. My 2 cents! Other people have helped me with their reviews, so I took the time to write this one. Bon appétit!

Yogurt Starter Culture Disappoints
I was disappointed. The product did not perform as expected. Runny yogurt, very tart, poor consistency.
