Hero Collector Ships of Battlestar Galactica

Book was well packed and arrived with no damage and also had the plastic wrap around it so seems like it hasn't even been open before

The image and production quality here is great but for a shipyard/tech book the text is poor, uninformative and light on detail for anyone who is a fan of the show.The text is mostly story recap written by someone who watched the show. There is no new information an definitely nothing pseudo-technical. It's seems common approach to these Hero Collector books.Diagrams have few labels and many are useless.. they point to things like 'hydraulic door' or insightful "Claw like wing tips" .. the Galactica itself has barely anything.. Disappointing.

I have been looking for this book for quite a while. I tried to buy it on the eaglemoss website but they went bankrupt. Tried to get it on ebay but it was pretty owned and too expensive and the postage and packing was too expensive. Later found out a company called Masters Replica was selling the bulk of eashlemoss stock but again the book was too dear and the delivery was 2 weeks. On a chance checked amazon and they had it in stock brand new and got it the following day.

This is a good book if your looking for a better in-depth look at the ships from the original and remake series.I enjoyed it, and it is well written, but not entirely what I was looking for.I was looking for something like "Janes Fighting Ships" style, with more technical data involved, however that's just what I was looking for, and the book is well done. I did find the brief history and background of each ship class an enjoyable reading experience. Its worth the money if your a fan :)
