The media could not be loaded. I had to slight force the cables inside more for connection because it wouldn't work but the cable had to be press in more then it will work. You can't use the vertical filming position on tripod the camera will tilt and fall on the table you can only do vertical if your using it as a selfie stick. The zoom is not like advertised in the video with a seamless smooth gradual zoom it's more choppy more like 4 jump clicks it's at complete zoom. Too bad they did not consider making a circle track kimd of like ipod for the zoom button.Mine turn on , take pictures, start recording you just have to have the camera set on camera mode. I can't tell you a review to tell you like oh the opening in closing decorate the legs or the buttons stop working because I just got this thing it's one night old. I needed a tripod for my trip so I saw this on Amazon thought it was neat just to have extra features I jist saw these reviews lol thank God I don't have the ZV I see how the girl did a video with ZV it worked for her but not everybody on this review section I'm thinking yall just haven't push the cable in more for connection because that was an issue for me.

It's easy to use. I love the sturdiness & quality of the design, the functions are simple & conveniently placed. I'm happy about this purchase lol I don't think I remember not having it lol

I have used this primarily as a grip for shooting videos and I cannot recommend against that strongly enough. Everything seems to work fine, except occasionally the zoom will just go all the way in or out on its own, and even worse sometimes the video will just stop recording entirely. I have not had any of my cameras exhibit this behavior when this grip is not connected or when connected to a different grip, so I have narrowed down the issues to being a result of this product. Also due to a horrible design error, the zoom is backwards. To zoom in, you press on the left and to zoom out you press on the right. Completely opposite of intuition and normal camera design. I reached out to the company and did not receive a response. I purchased a second grip thinking that maybe the first one was just a dud, but it IMMEDIATELY behaved the same way upon the first use and will be returned. So if you want this for photos, I guess it probably works well enough. But if you plan to use it mostly for videos, avoid this.

While I wish this had a slightly better grip in handheld mode, I will say this has replaced my official Sony grip for my ZV-1.It's sitting mode is wonderful. There's rubber grips on all the ends so it sits comfortable on the table. The way it locks in is snug and works well with all of the ways it can lock. I find the cord hook in way better than the wireless. The buttons have a fast reaction time with the camera and ends up working better than the camera buttons themselves.Would highly recommend! Especially for $40. I paid $100 for used Sony grip and this has replaced it. I find it to be the easier product to use.

Everything about this product is great, except the build quality. Even when camera - rx100 V - is firmly attached the tripod/grip plate isn't completely stable. I like the function buttons: power, still, video, zoom. Like that the cable has a 90° connection to the grip and that it is removable. The Sony version of this product doesn't have all these functions and the cable is hard wired. Anyway, if the platform were more robust and stabile this would be a perfect grip.

Works as expected. Material feels cheap so will have to see how it holds up. Cheaper than the Sony control and this also give you a tripod.

Great accessory for my Sony HX99. All of the features work well when connected with supplied cord. I am very happy with the purchase,

Only thing is the record button no longer connects with the camera
