RUN don't walk, buy this now!!
Works well:I've bought MANY different things to keep my dog in my backseat. This is THE BEST I've found. I had it in my car in less than 5 minutes. It isn't bulky and heavy, and keeps my 80 pound cow dog in the back seat. I didn't even have to use the side "wings" A perfect fit for my 2023 Corolla. Love it!!! Weight:Perfect balance between lightweight and sturdyDog safety:A+Value for money:Perfect value for the money

Keeps my pets in the back seat safely.
My pets like to come to the front seat for any reason. After reading some reviews I was not sure but moved ahead with trying this guard. It installed very easy. I only used the one large folding gate. I have a crew cab pickup truck with a dog cover/bed that hooks to front and back seat rests covering floor or lower area center between seats. The two small gates we put together and use in the small vehicle between the seats with a dog cover in place like the truck has.My dog is not neurotic like the negative review people express. My pets lay back there very calmly and safe from any front abrupt stops. Happy to look out the windows or thru the gate to see what we are doing. The negative review people show a need to spend money and get a police gate bolted in place top and bottom.

Does the job
We bought this in April and it works for the purpose of keeping our dog from jumping in the back even though he has a seat belt! We actually had to buy two more bungee cords because the ones provided wasn’t enough for it to be sturdy. Price is decent

Fits great!
Awesome. Love how customizable it is. Keeps my big stinky dogs where they’re supposed to be. Absolutely worth it!

Installed in Prius for cat
Using to keep cat from jumping on dashboard. Easy install. Put cardboard on sides to decrease chance of cat squeezing through. Cat usually roams the car on trips but not a good idea if only one person in the car. Cat throws up if we leave her in the carrier while driving.

Sizing, Assembly, & installing is a headache.
Comes in 3 pieces. you have to figure out what width you need, "fasten them together" with something not provided, then attach them to the front of the back seats? with something not provided. I would have returned it if I hadn't waited so long (beyond 30 days) to discover it was a pain in the ass to assemble and nothing was provided to secure it.

It keeps my four dogs out of the groceries
And no, I am not an animal hoarder; just lucky. First, I assembled it in the cramped car, so I didn't fit it together exactly as instructed, but it seems to work just fine. My only concern is gravity; because it attaches to headrests and not to the ceiling, there is nothing but slight friction to keep the wire 'fence' from sliding or being pushed down. Still, that has not yet proven to be a problem. And, I'm sure there are plenty of 'bush fixes' to prevent that, if it ever became an issue. The wire fencing, bungees and plastic bits are all solid and well made. I notice that about half of the low ratings for this product are related to the difficulty in assembly, and half about how it may be possible for a large, determined dog to push through. I agree that the instructions are unclear and could be way better, and because it attaches only in the middle (to headrests) and not to the top or bottom, it is susceptible to failure. Which is why it is essential to let your dog know that it is impenetrable the very first time you use it. Adjust it to fit as tightly as possible between the ceiling, the sides, and the floor/back seat. Fully extend the headrests so the gate can be attached at multiple points, and wrap towels around the headrest 'legs' to prevent the bungees from sliding either up or down. Then wedge temporary cargo around the sides and bottom (we used some 2X4s and blankets to fill any gaps). Once the dogs have tested their new 'cage wall', they will be satisfied that it is secure (hopefully), and not continue to test it in the future. Then you can remove the additional stuff you used to make it secure. Ideally, the instructions would have come with helpful hints to improve the installation experience, as well as warnings about how the product was not foolproof. Still, it seems to work quite well for most.

Unsafe fit / unsure of coated metal for dog
Why did you pick this product vs others?:Mentioned my vehicle- unfortunately this is a very flimsy cargo barrier. It doesn’t secure - you have to use bungi cords to wrap around the grates and then the headrest in your vehicle. It’s very top heavy due to securing the bottom. I didn’t feel safe with it in place at all for my dog. It’s also like a coated metal - not sure about that in heat / toxins for dogs chewing. Not for us. Very poor all the way around.
