"Gorgioso" Harmony 2" SLR/DSLR Bohemian Camera Strap.
Because the camera (Nikon) I purchased neglected to mention that there was a camera strap included (but they DID mention the charger and batteries, case, etc.), I purchased this strap. Happily, even though the other was functional, this one has an artistic pattern reminiscent of the rich rugs of the Far East or of patterns in the Alhambra. Reds, oranges, blacks, blues, and yellows. NOT pink. I like that I'm not providing free advertising for the camera company. The strap is sturdy, w/a padded area in the middle underside. This material is a very thick, soft velvety velour-ized plastic (?) outside, with a plasticized pad inside--not gel-like. When compressing it, it's like paper, but fluffy (?)--not crackly. (It's REALLY hard to describe.) This may account for the reviews where sensitive folk say it's not very padded. I didn't have any problems at all like >95% of people out there; the width and pad disseminate the pressure over your neck or shoulder. There are two slide devices on each side. The smaller one one-holed slide is to slide down near the camera post after the strap passes around and back through the slide to lock it down near the post. Unfortunately, this one was a wee bit too loose for my satisfaction, even though both ends of the strap are passed through both holes of the larger slide at the higher end and seems ok. (I suspect they made the hole bigger in the one-holed slide for people with poor hand strength or dexterity); to be able to get the strap through a smaller aperture would be painful.) To increase MY confidence, at the end to the straps, I tied it in a KNOT on each side. Later, I will be sewing it down (without the knot!) with quilting thread. I'm NuhNuhNOT going to have a $$$ camera end up on the ground. I apologize if the portion about the slides is confusing. There are You-Tube videos on how to secure straps to cameras. Best of Luck if you buy this strap. It is lovely, but not effeminate--because of it's patterning, hub#1 can use it without thinking that it's girly. [Unlike the insecurities of hub#2 (ex).] It's made here in the US also! I highly recommend it and would buy it again, even with the other camera strap being free.

Beautiful, but the hardware could be better
I went looking for a vintage-styled camera strap for a 70's-era SLR and, having weighed various options from eBay, Etsy and other sources, settled on this one from Capturing Couture. My initial impressions of this strap is that it is even more attractive in person than pictured. The needlework is well crafted, and there are no loose threads or seams. Thread coloring is not quite as saturated in color as pictured, but still very beautiful. The needlework smock is sewn firmly to a modern-looking nylon strap, with hidden padding at the shoulder/neck area. It's finished with a velvet end piece that is sewn and riveted on to the connecting hardware, which is solid enough, and then to a more narrow (1/4"? 3/8"?) strip of nylon that conforms to camera strap loops on modern cameras. It looks like it would fit any modern DSLR and possibly smaller mirrorless/P&S cameras. If you're going for an authentic vintage look, well, nobody's going to mistake you for Willie Nelson. Most straps of the era had leather end caps attaching to swivel clips in place of the skinny nylon straps. The velvet end pieces don't feel as high-quality as the rest of the materials either. That said, the needlework and vintage-inspired pattern are enough to make this strap a practical work of art. Also, beware, there's a pretty large "Capturing Couture" label across one end of the strap, with a tiny crystal attached to dot the 'i'. I could do without it.

gorgeous camera strap
I find the brand camera strap that is included with the camera purchase uncomfortable and ugly. I wanted a camera strap that is high quality, dependable, fashionable and reflects my artistic soul. Capturing Couture straps designs are beautiful. I wear my camera across my body and the padded velvet backing prevents slipping and pinching. Super comfortable, I can carry my camera all day without discomfort. On the downside, the velvet backing is a bit hot in the summer and you will get a bit sweaty. The quality is excellent, design is beautiful, an overall excellent camera strap.

Two nice surprises
From what I saw in the photo of this camera strap, I liked the design. I really didn't want a strap that advertised my camera and I was looking for something with a little "zip" to replace it. I ordered this "Capturing Couture" strap and it arrived yesterday. The real thing is even nicer than I imagined. The first surprise was that the strap is much more comfortable than I was guessing ... given what was said about it in some of the other reviews. It is wider than the one that came with my camera and it has padding where it rests on your shoulder. It seems quite comfortable. I carry a DSLR that weighs in on the heavy end of the scale so that is important. This strap is going to work for me.The second surprise was that the strap seems to be longer than the one that came with my camera so I can now comfortably carry the camera sling style. My old strap was a bit too short to do this easily. Finally, it also seems well built but that was not a surprise. The other reviews led me to believe this. Still ... I will say it: it looks and feels well made. I expect it to last a while.

So pretty and sturdy!
Got it within 3 days and I'm so happy I ordered it! At first when I ordered this, I was beginning to regret my purchase because it didn't look that great in the picture, but when it arrived, I was so happy with the purchase! It looked great in person! The texture of the strap was very soft and the designs had a lot of details; has a vintage look to it.*NB*: I wouldn't pay $75 for this product since I don't think it's worth it for a camera strap. If you want to get this, try looking at other sellers than Adorama Camera--they're ripping you off.

The strap is nice, however I was disappointed that it was not adjustable. Since this is a non-adjustable strap I think should have been longer. I have a similar belt that I had purchased many years ago and I like it because it is adjustable and can be shortened or lengthened to fit one's comfort level!! I thought this was similar to the one I have.

I was hoping for the velvet backing ( great for non-slip ) would extend the entire back of the strap. It only covers the shoulder portion.
