Ii would be possible to capture and save an image that I would require later?

Hi Adrian. This scanner does come with a demo however you cannot save the image. The Futronic scanner from previous question does allow you to capture and save the image.Hope this is helpful. How does it work to clock hours worked? Is it compatible with Paychex?

In order for this scanner to work for attendance, you would need an attendance software that supports this scanner. So you would need the scanner and an additional attendance software. In order for you to use this scanner with Paychex, you would need to ask Paychex if their software supports this device.

Can I use it at home for password replacement in browsers or encryption?

After you've set up your fingerprints in Windows settings, you will then need a password manager program to use your fingerprint at various websites. I use Roboform (free download) and enabled it's fingerprint option. Each time you go to a website where you need to have a password, after you enter it once, Robform will ask you if you want it remembered. After that, the next time you go to that website, either Roboform will ask for your fingerprint, or depending on your settings, will automatically log you in. The SecuGen Hamster has worked perfectly for me this past year on both Windows 7 Pro and now Windows 10.
