This grill brush is extremely durable and works pretty well. The most important point is the peace of mind that you won't be swallowing a steel bristle that broke off a traditional grill brush. which could cause serious internal damage. I wish the brush had a blade on the back of it for scraping off the extra-durable residue, as it can take a lot of elbow grease and time to get some things off the grill. I'd recommend having a sidekick scraper with this brush if you're using a community grill where the gunk really gets caked on.

I have been reading a lot of incidents where wire BBQ bristle brushes have caused many injuries to people, who swallow one in their food as they eat. These little wires are extremely dangerous when swallowed, as once they get lodged, or pierce the throat/stomach/colon, continue to work its way forward until it hits an artery or organ. So, I switched to this bristle free brush. I've tried this item multiple times, on various states of grill use. The inescapable conclusion is that it simply doesn't work.Perhaps it's because my Weber Silver Genesis grill has the odd shaped grates, that are more like bars (flat on top), then round wire. Whatever the reason, I've tried multiple techniques, and it simply slides across the grate, leaving behind almost everything. If you have a wire grate, then perhaps this will work for you.

Only 4 stars because I have the bristle version of this item and it cleaned much better. I'm not saying this doesn't clean, you just have to work at it a bit more. Unfortunately my bristle brush was loosing bristles, not acceptable ! This brush cleans well, just have to work at it a little more than with a typical bristle brush. The bonus is no worries of bristles coming off anymore.

Works well when used as instructed. You need a container of water at your grill. Heat up the grill, then brush it down with the moistened brush. I really like that there are no more little bristles in the bottom of my grill and no chance of anyone ingesting a wire. Buy it! Just know it needs to be wet to work.

I bought his about two years ago. I replaced it with the regular square headed type brush after about 6 months and the new one shows no signs of wear. The bristles just folded over and the middle wire would rub the grill. I would say stay away from this design. Use the old school square ones.

Seems well-made, but does not clean a grill as well as a bristled brush. I ended up tossing it. I think this has more to do with the style of brush vs. the brand. What I don't like, though, is how they put the US flag on the tag when it's made in China. Since it is Chinese made, save some coin and buy a cheaper one elsewhere.

I bought this product to replace a normal grill brush I have had for a number of years. It is extremely well made and feels great. Unfortunately, it doesn't clean the grill near as well as a normal brush. It takes four times as many passes to clean my Charbroil Tru Infrared grill half as well. Maybe it will work better on other types of grills.
