The Ball Game

Excellent book as all the Herve Tully's books!

This is a terrible game and a worse book. At best it is a joke or an art project. It is a folded board with various holes cut out and you are supposed to throw a wadded up piece of paper through the holes. I don't get it.

The adults and children (teen, early elementary, and preschooler) in our family love this book/game. We purchased ours at a museum gift shop, so knew exactly what we were buying. The description on Amazon could be clearer... This is a very thick, heavy fold-out (accordion-style) book. Each page has nicely-colored art and a couple of holes of various sizes and in varying places on different pages.. The point is to make small balls of paper (think of the paper wrapper in which a straw comes at some restaurants) and try to toss them through the holes. At least this is how we use the book/game - and we find it very entertaining!
