Delivery: fast with Prime. 2. Condition of book: Pages and cover are in tact, no highlights 3. Book construction: for each verb there is a full page of 14 tenses. 673 pages in total makes it a little heavy for daily transport. Front of book tells you how to use it ( what each tense is). This is nice because, really who knows what a “pluperfect” is. The book details this well. Back of book offers popular verb phrases and tests to practice. I recommend it. Review: Heavy book, but oh so wonderful - Since moving to Mexico, I've been having a hard time conjugating all the Spanish verbs to the tenses that don't even exist in English. I am from another country so I had to learn English as a second language to begin with, and I don't think it was that complicated. Anyhow, for whatever the reasons I thought I could just memorize a few phrases and get by. Wrong! I really needed this book so I can understand and memorize the verbs conjugations. It's really handy while in my Spanish study group when we are trying to say something and need to look up the correct tense. Heavyweight but really useful. I'm gonna get a lot of use out of this.

Heavy book, but oh so wonderful
Since moving to Mexico, I've been having a hard time conjugating all the Spanish verbs to the tenses that don't even exist in English. Tap into verbs. They're the backbone of language.
This is a fantastically useful book. Just in the first few minutes of reading I learned more about the rules of conjugation than I have in the past year. I highly recommend that anyone who gets this book read the introduction before just using the book as a quick reference. I bought both the Kindle version and the physical copy a few months ago, so I always have it handy. I bought the book at the suggestion of a Spanish language instructor. What he said made sense -- you can get by with just a few words in Spanish. You can point for nouns if you really need to. But verbs? You really can't do anything without verbs. They're the backbone of a language.

Conjugations:Beginners and Advanced & How to use the Tenses!
I am married to a Latino that speaks Spanglish, so I thought I should learn Spanish myself. My spouse although speaks Spanish ALSO lacks how to properly conjugate and use the verbs. I bought this book, in hopes that it would conjugate the verbs and explain the tenses. This book does EXACTLY that! The Spanish language does not use the same concept as the English language where the person who is doing the action (verb) is identified and then the verb follows. The Spanish language incorporates the verb with the person as ONE. Example: English - I close the door. Spanish- Cierro la puerta. This book conjugates the verb in ALL person(s) and breaks down the verb tense; past, present and future. Please see below for the what the book provides for beginners and advanced speakers of spanish: Beginners- simple conjugation verbs (past, present and future), tests and drills to determine your strengths and weaknesses, helpful sentences for tourists, how to properly use the verb in sentences, English translations and many more. Advanced- grammatical terms and usages, pronouns and other tense forms other than the simple basics, expressions and idioms understand and communicate better with Spanish speakers and many more useful tools. This book is the ONE and ALL book for SPANISH VERBS! A MUST HAVE to advance in learning Spanish!

Delivered Better Than Advertised
I've always been reluctant to order used books since I am an "underliner." It's kind of like my personal bonding with the pages. Hence, when I saw the '501 Spanish Verbs' book--and especially when I noticed it was marked only as GOOD condition--I was reluctant to buy. The comparative price (used vs new) compelled me to do so, however. All this to say that beyond the prior owner's name on a blank, initial page, the book was in perfect condition. I won! Add to this near immediate shipping and you're reading the words of a highly satisfied customer. Job well done Seller!

A valuable teaching tool
I tutor basic-level Spanish and urge my students to get a copy of this book. The mind-numbing repetetiveness of "501 Spanish Verbs" is just the ticket for learning the conjugation of verbs, both regular and irregular. The format (Fourth Edition) is handy, with gerunds and past participle at the top of the page and the imperative at the bottom. The section at the back, "Verbs Used in Idiomatic Expressions" is clearer in its explanations than many Spanish grammar books. Every once in a while, a verb that I consider to be relatively common is absent from the main section, but often find it in the appendix that has "congugated like" listings. This is the most carefully considered and logically organized grammar book that I know.

This was not the item listed it was misrepresented
The item listed was a new hard cover 501 Spanish verbs. The item I got was used. The edges of the book were bent, and it was not a hard cover so I am going to return this and purchase one that is listed as a soft cover used. .

This book is a bit advanced for me as I have only started to learn Spanish but I have already learnt some important facts about the Spanish language. I think if I keep going it will be very important to my studies. I would recommend this book. I actually bought a copy for my mother who is 76 and has been studying for the past year and she likes it

動詞の意味、活用を覚えるつもりでこの本を買ったけど、 そんな感じの本ではありませんでした。 一応、練習問題も少しありますが、基本的には動詞の活用が載ってるだけ。 ただ、全部の動詞にすべての活用が載っているし、 「英→西」の対訳辞書があるため、 分かんない動詞の活用を調べるのには重宝します。 だから、動詞を覚えたい人には向かないけど、 辞書で動詞調べにくいと思っている人にはかなり役立つと思います。
