Stopped the leaky conservatory roof!
Yes, it is really sticky and tacky. Yes there is a way to peel this off and lay it down without getting tangle in it! But, I am really pleased that this has worked on our corrugated plastic-sheeted conservatory roof, which I have tried various leak-seal products, such as sprays etc. No leaks through the latest Storm this Jan/Feb, nor from steady persistent rain, as I covered the struts to either side of the panels so it's water-tight where the roof panel meets the struts. It is easy to cut with a stanley-type knife. I didn't take the backing off the glue side until ready to lay it. Lined it up first and then just began to peel away the backing slowly, sticking it down as I went along. Even though the outside temperature was cold, it stuck when firmly pressed down, with some gently persuasion.

Excellent versatile tape
I have now purchased 3 rolls of this tape. The first one did an excellent job on everything I tried it on including gutters, conservatory roof and the temporary repair of several shower tray cracks. Sadly, the second roll was 'dry' and the tape would not stick to anything so a candidate for the bin. The third tape I have not opened yet but have high expectations of its performance. I have only knocked 1 star off for the faulty roll in the hope it was just an isolated rogue tape.

Great stuff if it is HOT.
I did read the reviews before I bought this but I thought I would give it a go, I suppose I was lucky it was mid-summer and 25c plus most days. I have a fiberglass roof on our shed and a small split appeared that got bigger/longer, I had tried expensive sealer that did work for a while but I needed something better. So it arrived one hot day and the next day I was up the ladder just after lunch (Hot Roof!) The stuff was hot so it did take a bit of fiddling to get it free and ready to roll (remember I have a hot roof 30c + and a warm roll of sticky stuff ) So I roll it out an cover the split, press it down and then I had one of the little rollers about an inch wide that I went up and down with and it has stuck fast, no leeks and it is stuck fast now. From my limited experience you need it hot and sunny with a warm roll of sticky stuff for it to work, if it had been cold I doubt very much if it would have worked but at least I have 3/4 of a roll left just in case it is needed again but only in the summer!!!

Item not usable
I have no idea how this could possibly be used. The silver backing which I assumed would be the outer surface of the repair was loose and came away easily and was not sticky. The putty like substance which I assume is supposed to be soft and sticky is solid there is a cellophane sheen on the inside which shows no sign of being able to be removed. I have shown this to three men who do a lot of DIY and none of them can see how this could possibly be used and their opinion is that it has passed it shelf life. The one delivered to me has also been dropped as it has a cut and dent on one side. I am unable to return this as the return date has passed.

Strong adhesive
Used to stick a tarpaulin on the roof over extension as roof is leaking. Have had strong winds and this tape really holds it down I was surprised how effective this is. Have had rain and it’s still holding so yes is weatherproof. Only downside is the peel back on the sticky is very thin and rips very easily when you peel back.

Good product on certain surfaces.
Ok to use with a little practise - very sticky. Cut with a blade don’t use scissors unless you want a job of cleaning the sticky off them! I think on certain surfaces this is probably very effective. However I used on bitumen type roof sheet and it didn’t stay stuck, especially after raining, so no hood for me, I used a specific sealant paint instead.
