Let's face it - you need one of these. But only one. After you get it, do yourself a favor and buy a CO2 tank (like this - https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00IE1DJ2I), an adapter (like this - https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0CP96GL76) and find a place near you that supplies bulk gases. I have a local place that deals in soda/beverage systems and supplies various gases. They fill the 5 pound tank for $20, which lets me fill the little Drinkmate bottle at least five times, if not more. Yes, the initial cost of the tank is high, but it pays for itself very quickly. No more pricey exchanges or mailing things.Props to Drinkmate (for now) for not doing what Sodastream has done in trying to make it very difficult to refill the cartridge yourself.

I mean, it's an aluminum or steel CO2 cylinder filled with food grade CO2- the construction is quite similar to a cheap paintball burner tank of air. I think this business will offer you a discount on a future purchase if you mail them back your empty cylinder for recycling.

A little expensive, but thats just how drinkmate operates. May just get refills with these locally

First time owning a soda machine and getting the co2. It is a bit scary when reading the label but it is actually not that bad, remove the black bottle cover, insert into the soap machine, turn until secured ( I had to watch the video to ensure I am doing it correctly) I pumped about 15-20 times, there is no specific instructions so I guessed you’ll pumped it until the frizz is right for you. The taste is okay, very close to the branded seltzer water. This is great because I can now make my own right at home. Remember to keep the box so you can ship back when need for replacement.
