Best decision I've ever made!
Amazing for recording for 1-2 hours straight without the hassle of changing batteries every 30-40 minutes. I have been using it for more than a year and is still working great for podcasting.

Must-Have for Sony ZV-1
I have a podcast (hey, True Crime Travelers) and we record for hours on end. This dummy battery keeps my camera from overheating, turning off or losing power (obv). Super easy to set up but you will need a bracket that goes underneath (search camera bracket) because the camera door has to stay open for this to work. Once you have the bracket, this is easy to use and honestly, a life saver.

It works great
For doing podcast or for setting up a tripod and not moving the camera, this battery will go all day plugged in and extend the shooting life of the Sony ZV 1F camera .

It works, which is more than can be said for others
It worked when others did not. I've tried multiple options for providing direct power to my Sony ZV-1F so I don't have to chase down and charge batteries. I use this camera for multiple things, but mostly it stays on a tripod in my office/studio for recording. Plugging the camera directly into USB-C power works fine, unless I need to use the same setup for something like a webinar/stream. Then the power output by the laptop doesn't seem to be able to keep the battery running. I needed a more permanent solution for day-to-day operations.I looked at and tried multiple dummy batteries and this one JUST WORKED and it worked well. I can't close the battery door (more on that later), but I also got the NEEWER grip (https://a.co/d/e975f2R) on the same order and although this doesn't eliminate the problem, it does help mitigate it.Design-wise: it's fine and I've seen people mention the battery door being a problem. At least for my camera (ZV-1F) the camera was never intended to run without a traditional battery (unlike my Canon EOS), so it doesn't have a 'channel' for feeding the wire out. I knew this going in, so I wasn't surprised. It's the right size for my needs and I have the power inverter Velcro-strapped to one of the legs of my tripod. This works for me and my setup.

A 2 year near daily review. A quality product that speaks for itself.
I've had to replace the micro hdmi cord and my camlink with my SONY ZV-1 3x over the last 2 years of near daily use. One thing is for sure this has never needed replacing. Updating after realizing I'm ordering yet another cam link and hdmi cord for the third time in less than three years...

Absolutely necessary for video work
If you plan to use your Sony ZV-1 for video, you need to buy this. With the standard battery in the camera, it overheats and shuts down the camera after about 10-12 minutes. This is well known.Using the dummy battery and the AC adapter, this avoids this issue 100%. I record videos that run from 15-30 minutes long, and I haven't yet had any problem with the camera overheating.I highly recommend this if you plan to do video work with your Sony ZV-1.The only downside is that the battery door won't close. It's because Sony never considered that anyone would want to use an external power source with a dummy battery.
