Fell in love with glass files for my natural nails (and frankly some callouses) a few years ago, and when it was time to get a new one I ran across this set that had the buffer, too. In the early 2000s I had a ceramic file with a set of buffing tools from QVC that took FOREVER to ever-so-slightly improve the smoothness of you your nail surface but got uncomfortably hot on the nail bed because of the friction). It would eventually leave them smooth, however, the shine it imparted only lasted until you washed your hands again -- slight sheen, but no shine. Was cautiously optimistic after reading the review of this set and I am WOWED! It was SO fast and easy and not only was the shine almost INSTANT, it lasts! My nails look like I've done a very tidy job of applying perfectly clear polish, but there's nothing there for me to peel off. (Hah! Terrible habit, which is why I never polish my nails anymore.) Adult daughter loved them too, and was equally impressed with ease & shine. Would definitely recommend and WILL be buying again. Might even start taking better care of my cuticles. :)

I've only ever used the nail file that came in my cheap grooming kit. I got this because I'm trying to improve my nails, and my cheapy metal nail file was falling apart. I was immediately suprised by how well these work. A few light strokes makes a noticable difference. When I used the buffer, I worried for a moment that it had chipped glass under my fingernail. Nope, it just made the edge of my nail that shiny. I have already recommended it to a friend.

I did some research before going out and buying a nail file. I was sick and tired of the sprayed on/pad garbage most nail files are. I found out that there are glass nail files and crystal nail files that have a chemically engraned pattern that will be much better than sprayed on coatings. Pros: I haven't taken a coin to scrape this nail file kit but from the feel and the way it works, the glass files are legit. As far as the crystal (dull) looking ones, I believe they are real and not coatings as well. My nails do in fact get shiny. The smallest glass nail file, I believe, is the shiner... works very, very well. Takes off a bit of nail if you use it too much but cleaning it is great. The glass "micro-grooves" or whatever don't come off and are really engrained. Cons: I wish it wasn't as thick. I haven't dealt with many nail files before but I just wish it was a millimeter thinner for easer access on the sides of the nail. I also wish there were some instructions as to what file is for what... there is a longer glass file that has two patterns on it and a shorter one with one pattern on it. I wish I knew the "grit" (its not actually grit but I'm not sure what else to call it) on each of those files to know which one would be the best for shining. Like I said before, the smallest one seems to work the best so I think that one is the finest. Conclusion: I really enjoy this product. It works wonderfully, believe it or not, and I think this 10$ (at the time of this review) will be a lifelong investment; I don't see this product wearing out any time soon. Very pleased.

These work better than I ever thought possible. When I first saw glass nail files, I was skeptical. My nails generally split and break very easily. I'm not into nail polish because it's difficult for me to apply and peels off and looks messy. I purchased this set of glass nail files and it has made a dramatic difference. My nails are perfectly smooth and shiny. I've gotten compliments that they look professionally done. My nails are growing and no longer breaking. If I start to get a snag, the glass filers take care of it easily. The process to file and buff my nails to an awesome shine takes about 10-15 minutes. I highly recommend these.

Absolutely love this file set, first it’s a perfect shade of my favorite color, the shiner really makes my nails finish dazzling and the compact case is very convenient.

Economical and they do the trick!

I really like this set! Does a great job on filing my nails down smoothly and evenly. I gave this set 3-stars because my large nail shiner is defective. Both sides are smooth. I thought it was just me initially because this is only my second set of glass files, but once I had the opportunity to use the smaller nail shiner, I realized that the large one had two shiny sides. It does nothing but rubs against the nail bed. No shine at all! A little disappointed, but at least I have the smaller one. It works great!

The glass tool is really good. It contains four pieces. Shaping tool and Polishing tool each for hands and feet. The Shaping tool is quick and easy to use to shape your nails. The polishing one makes the nail shine like crazy. My nails looks like I got french manicure. This is totally worth it. I highly recommend it. The package was delayed by a couple of days. But I am glad I bought it. If you are planning to buy, add couple of days to your expected arrival date.
